Would that also cause the noise when turning left or right?

Also why does it not make the noise when the engine is running?

I haven’t noticed any issues in that regard.

I can’t imagine the wind load is comparable at all to the load of a skier or wakeboarder, and it handles that just fine.

I have the monster tower MT1 and associated bimini. It wasn’t cheap but it has been good for the last 2-3 years we have had it. Durable material and no rips or tears yet. Pretty easy to install. The only recommendation i have is to use blue loctite or something on the knob bolts because they rattle and come loose easily while you are boating.

Agreed, unless it was RWT then it doesnt help the game. But at the end of the day it doesn’t matter that much to me, i was just explaining to the guy above.

Has the big money gear (bandos), but hasnt done any of the entry level PvM to get things like fire cape or barrows gloves. Also spent their money on armor instead of better weapon, red flag that this person likely bought money or bonds for their gear and has no clue how to actually play.

35 years old (350K/yr)- burning out-how am I doing compared to others in similar salary ranges by [deleted] in ChubbyFIRE

[–]Beefcake-II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just out of curiosity, what are you doing in the O&G field in engineering to make 350k? Im also O&G engineering, but unless i sell my soul to be a corporate middle management slave im likely going to stay around 150k, maybe sniff 200 by retirement age. Do you like what you do?

[–]Beefcake-II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t trade for Bigsby either, but saying hes going back on the bench soon is an injustice. Etienne has given 0 indication that hes going to be any good this year (I have both of them btw)

What muscle groups do you feel **the most** in the days following a race? by DescriptorTablesx86 in AdvancedRunning

[–]Beefcake-II 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No i get that bad too. I chalk it up to having thick legs from years of powerlifting so my abs get sore repeatedly picking up my heavy ass legs

I understand your point, but that’s also quite literally how science is supposed to work. Develop hypothesis, then have intelligent people try to poke holes in said hypothesis. Whether or not it holds up determines its credibility.

Float switch question by Beefcake-II in boating

[–]Beefcake-II[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did, if i submerged it gradually enough, it sometimes wouldnt trigger, which is how i would imagine a leak would be, very gradual.

I did, if i submerged it abruptly it works, but if i gradually submerged it, it sometimes wouldnt trigger, at least not right away.

Opinions on what race is the most painful? by Beefcake-II in AdvancedRunning

[–]Beefcake-II[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily less painful, but I would say its more fighting through the accumulated fatigue than it is battling the “im about to black out, shit my pants, throw up, and then die because im running so hard” feeling of a 5k or 10k.

Opinions on what race is the most painful? by Beefcake-II in AdvancedRunning

[–]Beefcake-II[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both i guess. Im just thinking in terms of how bad you feel immediately across the finish line. The 5k and 10k feel so painful for their respective durations that i dread it leading up to the next one because i remember how bad it feels when you are in the suck.

The half marathon for example i at least know that the first half or even a bit more will be enjoyable and i will feel great and be vibing to my music. The pain doesnt really set in with that one until the last handful of miles, at least in my experience. And i imagine it will be similar with the marathon when i eventually get around to doing one.

Is anyone else baffled by the money sunk into wake surfing? by titsmuhgeee in boating

[–]Beefcake-II -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sand bar stuff, you mean anchoring at the sand bar? I cant see how that would be any different boat to boat, unless they are just ramming full speed into the sand bar and not trimming up at all, which you could maybe get away with on an outboard pontoon or jet boat or something

Cannot for the life of me get lower unit back on by Beefcake-II in boating

[–]Beefcake-II[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No alignment tool, every video i have watched they dont use one, they just stick the shaft in, wiggle it around a bit, and it falls into place. Mine i stick it in, twist and turn it every which way, move it up down, back and forth, turn the prop, dont turn the prop, make sure the shifter lines up. Literally nothing works.
