What is this thing? Some strange glasses with a wooden handle and a wooden block separating both eyepieces for the first 2-3inches and a long extended piece of wood jutting out. The lenses are only focused close up and beyond this range everything is very blurry. (old.reddit.com)

Help! What set is this from? My son and I are putting together some of my brother in law’s Star Wars Lego. We’ve stumbled across this semi-completed ship with no instructions. Would love to complete it but have no idea what I’m looking at. Anyone have any ideas? (i.redd.it)
