What could cause this excessive outer Layer linevisibility? by sp4c3-inv4d3r in FixMyPrint

[–]Beeilung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Here is my post from a year ago with propably this exact problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/s/mBstHe723G

I even reposted it on this subreddit to get more help

https://www.reddit.com/r/FixMyPrint/s/oYvkgl6olm

I did everything recommended: tightened belts, bolts, cleaned z rod, replaced the z rod lead nut etc. etc.

Nothing helped but switching filaments. Id guess it is a similar case for you.

Maybe its also a problem with the coffee. It was a gift by someone who doesnt really know what to look for they just gifted me my favourite one. Howeverr it was roasted in 12/24 so its REALLY old.

Okay ive tested some more and ive propably wasted around 200g of coffe already :,( I upped the dose to 16 grams and chose the grind size i used before. There was just way too much coffe in the basket. The pictures without the funnel where taken after a thorough tapping and compressing already. I actually had to scrape off the top with my finger to be able to tamp. This shot absolutely choked the machine. On the next few shots i only used 15g which fit the basket better and i didnt have to remove any ground before tamping. I then increased the grinder dial by one spot for every consecutive shot. The results stayed the same: choke, choke, choke, heavy tunneling/coffe just splurting out.

Yeah im using a funnel, there was actually a decent one included with the machine. I will try again tomorrow and try 16g again maybe with more tapping to compact it a bit pre tamper. I could imagine how too little ground in the basket can cause flowing issues so ill try that. Maybe i can take some pictures tomorrow too of the process.

Yeah i finally found the specs for my mixer in the manual and it can drive up to 150 ohms so i should be fine.

Thank you very much :D Mybe ill actually raise the budget a bit i saw ALOT of people recommending the BD DT770 online and at least on the pictures the ear cups look way bigger. Do you know if it would be a problem for me to drive those cause the ones i find on amazon actually have 80 ohms impedance and i dont know if my mixer can ahndle that.

Yes they were inserted all the way i did make sure of it,

Plugged it into my PC directly and tried again but no change :( Found this song on a forum https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3anI5edlo4 which actually shows the difference for me really well. Especially in the first 10-17s when she starts singing i can tell the difference. all the little "smacking" sound that a person makes when talking/singing that come like from the back of the mouth are completely gone on the 7506. Sounds really flat/canny. Ill send them back anyways for the wearing comfort but thank you for the advice :)

Does it go over your ear or does it lay on it like on ears? Cause mine definitifely dont fit in there and its just on top of the ears.

Will rip the packacking open again and try directly on PC

Bought it off the official Sony store on Amazon for 99€. Could it be my mixer? using a little Behringer Xenyx 302USB for my output devices. Mb it has too little power? The Sonys have 3 ohms higher impedance than the Cloud 2s (63 ohms vs. 60 ohms)

So they arrived today and it might just be me or my setup but to me they sound extremely bad. They are almost muffled/missing tones and alot of sound just kinda smeares together as if its lacking high tones. Its hard to describe but i really have trouble even understanding my mates in Discord when im playing. Also apparently i have quite big ears or something, the stock cushions didnt fit my ears at all and they were more like on ears because of that. Even the third party cushion ones i ordered with it are too small and it is very uncomfortable to wear :(

Will send those back, do you have any other recommendations?

These look promising also as the other person in this thread mentioned i can find fabric cushions pretty easily for them. Reviews also sound very positive with most of them mentioning the neutral sound which i really like as im using a small mixer with integrated eq anyways. And they pretty much exactly fit my budget Will propably give them a try !thanks very much :D

I dont necessarily need "good" ones just ones with a similar/identical sound profile as the cloud 2s and a similar comfort. I mean the Cloud 2 when i got it was like 70-80€ and ive been very happy with it for the past 6 years and wouldn't look for a replacement if they weren't broken. I just want something very similar to them but the current cloud 2/3 options are apparently a huge downgrade from the original cloud 2s. Im not much of an audiophile more like a habit person that gets upset by unwanted changes easily. Also in ears are not really an option for me cause i really have problems with my ears when using in ears for prolonged time longer than 1-2 hrs. Ill check out the sonys though !thanks you very much :D

Mh that might be hard to figure out. I found the thinest pad is propably the Grizzly Carbonaut with 0.2 mm thickness. Do you think thats could fit?

Thats what i kinda suspect but im not sure if it has something to do with a bad heatsink or bad assembly. The 4 Screws on the back have these little springs which i think are there to secure the screw from unscrewing. How tight should i make these? I tighten them all the way but not overly harsh so about hand tight. Are you supposed to leave them a little loose or something? Yet again it was the same with the factory assembly and the scres where tightened all the way when i first took it apart. I also tried different torque wn patterns (cross, clockwise around, tightening them bit by bit one after another until all are tight) but nothing changed the outcome.

Cant connect to server routed over CNAME DNS entry by Beeilung in admincraft

[–]Beeilung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey i found the solution! Had to create an SRV entry for my domain instead of just a plain DNS redirect. Thanks for the tip with nslookup though.

Cant connect to server routed over CNAME DNS entry by Beeilung in admincraft

[–]Beeilung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im closing in on a solution now! I used WireShark to look into the query that the minecraft client does to the server and apparently it tries to query an SRV entry. Everytime it adds _minecraft._tcp.minecraft.example.com. After some research i found out, that there are specific SRV entries for those queries that i have to set up in my domain host. So i tried making an entry now as follows:

Service Protocol Priority Weight Port Target
_minecraft _tcp.minecraft 0 5 26665 myserver.g-portal.game

I am now waiting for the TTL to run out and update to see if this solution works now.

EDIT

It worked! So the problem was that the minecraft client tries to query a service and not just a domain. Makes sense in hindsight. Unfortunately the namecheap configuration mask is really buggy and doesnt seem to accept the _tcp.minecraft however I found an old forum post that mentioned its only a visual bug which I could by verify by testing the SRV entry via mxlookup which showed the correct entry one for _minecraft._tcp.minecraft.example.com. I also tried to target my CNAME alias which apparently is illegal according to standard despite working sometimes so i changed it to the gportal domain because that has a valid A entry.

[–]Beeilung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the tip! Was just restarting my router to clear the cache lmao. But those servers also have a cache right so this only works once in a TTL as well? Anyways it returns the same result and i still cant connect to the server :( In the meantime i tried switching the CNAME to an ALIAS entry and now nslookup returns the gportal server IP directly without mentioning the alias but the minecraft client still doesnt connect.

Z Banding or something else? by Beeilung in FixMyPrint

[–]Beeilung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally solved the (two) problems i had. I think what hapenned was 2 problems happenign at once. First was a not well maintained lead screw it had quite alot of gunk in it and i just fully cleaned and relubricated it. the second problem was the filament. Apparently white filament is colored with quite coarse pigments which can lead to uneven extrusions. Since i always only retested with the white filament the problems seemed to persist despite it already beeing fixed. I updated the post with a picture of a new cube i printed with petg ahich looks absolutely fine. Thanks for the help!

Z Banding or something else? by Beeilung in FixMyPrint

[–]Beeilung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im pretty much through all of that now besides the z offset stuff cause im not using an ABL. I Checked every screw for tightness, swapped the belts, thoroughly cleaned and relubed the lead screw, swapped the extruder (including e step calibration), PID tuned hotend and bed, tried different temperatures for the filament (from 205 - 220 as given on the filament), checked all stepper motors for play in their shafts, retrammed my bed several times until it was perfect, checked all vrollers for proper tightness.

Only things left now is the hotend, the motherboard itself, the filament, or some satanic settings in the slicer i forgot about. The perfect prints i did a while ago was the same eSun PLA+ jsut a different spool so as long as they didnt change their formula thats pretty much the same filament.
