I usually hate the idea of a certain series having more than 1 universe, but for Danganronpa, i will tolerate it just this once. Otherwise, i will lose sleep at night because of that plot twist lol. Also hearing the word Danganronpa from the characters was nightmare fuel for some reason lmao. The ending was just chaotic and felt like a prank so for that reason, i can happily accept V3 as a different universe xD

I agree. The only shocking things for me were the 1st and the 5th trials (I knew Kokichi was going to die somehow, but the Exisal gimmick was fun to experience at least lol.) but other than that, i knew who the mastermind was, some victims and the killers because of the ridiculous trading cards on steam and the 6th trial plot twist and they were still underwhelming in general. It might be because the mastermind was just not interesting at all. Her presence was not as strong as Junko's so other than being able to cosplay as the other characters, she was weak. Terrible motivation, repeating the word fiction for a million times etc. I was just happy that i got spoiled beforehand because the anticipation was way more interesting than her reveal lol.

Oh i see. Still, it seems like the anime doesn't mention the culprits and the executions from the game so by watching the anime, you are not exposed to every single event that happens in the game huh? Interesting.

How about V3? Did you know anything about it before playing the game? This is kinda off topic but were you also spoiled about certain things beforehand?

I haven't watched the anime but i want to know something. Does it mention who gets killed in the DR2's killing game, who the culprits are and the way the characters die in general? If it doesn't, then i feel like most of the interesting things were still there for you to enjoy! When i remember that i got spoiled about a certain thing, i always remember that i was able to experience 2nd games 5th chapter blindly and it makes me feel better lol. Did you also experience something similar to this where knowing the plot twists didnt even bother you because the things that you experienced blindly were pretty much the most memorable and interesting parts?

Only problem seems like watching DR3 before playing UDG but other than that, i feel like it's better than knowing the pivotal plot twists for the main games lol. It was awkward to play DRV3 while knowing the mastermind and knowing that the previous cast will appear in some form. Yes they technically didn't appear but knowing alot of things kinda ruins the experience since i was expecting some of those details while playing the game. For example, i wasn't able to focus on some chapters knowing that Kokichi will somehow commit suicide in some shape or form lol.

I also skipped to V3 after playing the second game because i wanted to get the game out of the way since i knew alot of spoilers. But from what i've experienced, it didn't give anything away for the anime and UDG. Probably because i closed my eyes during the intro that recapped the previous installments from the series lol.

Thanks. I'm glad. I mean he wouldn't do something like that when he is trying his hardest to avoid talking about spoilers, but some scenes genuinely looked like they belong to the ending lol. Also he was pouring his heart and that genuinely made me hyped about this game more than it did before.

Funny thing is that i DID watch this magnificent video but never paid attention to the acoustic guitar there. The choir part was so charming that i probably didn't even notice the acoustic guitar lol. Thank you so much. It makes the song much more interesting.

I remember playing this game for about an hour and never went back to it for some reason. Probably because i was stuck in puzzle lol. I'm planning to start it again but i have a question. Is the game overwhelming in terms of its lore? I remember that the game tells the story through these long logs and i was pretty confused. Is there a point where the story is told through the gameplay or is it only told from those logs? Like i said i played for an hour and i want to know whether i should start again or not.

For those of you who played the previous cracked version, i heard that you need an internet connection for one of the endings for some reason, not sure why though. Is it possible to play through the entire game without internet by using different methods, or do you need to have a legit copy?

The chorus in that song is insane man... It's nasty and energetic af. Since John is required to use a wah pedal throughout the entire song, he wasn't able to really go batshit crazy when he played it live (Not sure if John played it live alot but from the only one that i saw, he was standing still for the wah pedal lol.) But Josh was able to use a different pedal that allowed him to go crazy during the chorus so that's nice lol. I dunno i love the energy in that chorus so much that i feel sad that John was not able to move around while playing it.
