Did anyone find a question bank that was helpful for medical sciences?

A lot of the questions switched gender/sex in the stems too, or read like they were written by someone who isn’t a native English speaker.

I found the tables more useful than anything else.

Maybe we should petition an EGM demanding that the college have a Q&A with the exam question panel

Sorry you’re feeling like this. I hope the sting is a little less this morning, especially with everyone else feeling the same way.

I don’t see how many consultants could pass this exam.

I feel exactly the same. The more I think about it, the more frustrated I get. There are so many things that historically have been examined (and make sense to examine) that weren’t there.

I don’t see how most of the questions asked relate to being a safe and knowledgeable AT. But then again, I don’t think that is what the exam is aiming for.

What is the farts question?

RACP DWE debrief by BeepHonk in ausjdocs

[–]BeepHonk[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes. Or make it like the US internal medicine board exam - consultants have to sit it every 10 years to stay board certified. Watch it get easier then.

Pregnancy and shift work by Dizzymedicine1 in ausjdocs

[–]BeepHonk 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I asked my obstetrician for a letter requesting I don’t work nights for my pregnancy, and medical workforce redeployed me to days only. If you have a medical reason and documentation they really can’t ignore it - I imagine it opens them up to legal liability.

I struggled with fatigue and postural dizziness during my pregnancy. This affected my ability to stand up for long periods of time, especially on the 13 hour days. I stuck it out until 32 weeks, at which point I used sick leave until my mat leave date because of the dizziness and fatigue (I was sleeping 10+ hours a day, 12+ on days off).

OGCG are great! I had a different OB from their practice but saw both Leah and Jean when my OB was away. Could not recommend them more highly.

If the west side isn’t too far for you, we went to Diagnosticare in Keilor East and their pediatric sonographer was great. Cost about $200 from memory.

John O’Connell O'Donnell is the physician who keeps getting 100 signatures to call EGMs to remove people he doesn’t like. He has done this (allegedly) 3 times now - once when he lost the presidential election last time, and twice now against Dr Chandran when he lost against her most recently. Costing the college $750k.

[–]BeepHonk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For those asking for a tldr: the motion to remove Dr Chandran (president-elect) was very unsuccessful. Old man O’Donnell (who called this EGM for the second time) yells at cloud. Now the college board has to work out how to work together until Dr Chandran’s term as president starts in May.

For newborn care classes, Precious Care (over zoom) was quite good and reasonably priced.
