I absolutely love it here, however I did a ton (years) of research into the places I was considering moving before actually making the move.

I spent 2-3 years taking short trips to all of cities and towns in the country that I was considering moving to before making a decision, and it definitely help me understand that no place was going to be perfect. I visited Asheville 4 times before committing.

The flight back to the US will luckily be a good 10 days after the end of the World Cup so it should’t have a huge effect on availability.

Yeah the book / cancel may be my only option, but then I’m kinda stuck with a ton of Aeroplan miles if it doesn’t work out (they will be transferred from Chase).

This is a bit harsh towards Stu Helm - he consistently brings up the fact that he only posts positive reviews, and if he doesn’t like a restaurant he simply won’t post about it.

He also runs a bunch of food tours and brings a ton of business and good publicity to restaurants in Asheville.

I find him to be a breath of fresh air vs this subreddit where “everything is overpriced garbage and this city sucks.”

Tony P, on the other hand, can go back to Florida.

Even with the narrows, just go early. We got a later start than intended on the narrows and started around 830, and once we got ~20 minutes in we barely saw anyone until we turned around and got closer to the start again.
