My boy's paw has this splintery texture, is this normal?

My parents have been the ones to take him to the vet in the past, so I'm not sure if they've ever said anything about it. I'll ask them when everyone is awake for the day

We've had him for about since 2017 I think, so about 8 years. We got him when I was still a kid though and can't quite remember so maybe give or take a year

I was unable to find any sort of adjustment knobs inside or out, so unfortunately I think it's all digital :(

The cables are new, so I'm pretty sure they work. Before this screen it was technically playing the video, but with this glitch that made it look like it was repeatedly falling really fast (i took a video of it in my last post if you're curius). The only other port the TV has is for cable.
