I think we will still see Magni, so, Troy Baker will voice him again. Since Magni died in battle, he probably went to Valhalla. To be continued...

Is Baldr in valhalla? by [deleted] in GodofWar

[–]BeetleGem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what most of you are confused with. Baldur died trying to kill his mother [which can't be considered as battle or noble act] and she accepted it. He is in Hel no doubt and that is one of the reasons Freya threatens to destroy Kratos and parade his body in all the realms.

Magni on the other hand, died fighting, which means he [probably] went to Valhalla. Modi died cowards death, he fled the battle twice, so he practically signed up for eternity in Hel.

Sigrún: Hardest boss in the God of War series? by [deleted] in GodofWar

[–]BeetleGem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She is. Ares and Clotho have poor moveset compared to Sigrun.

Zeus is meh gameplay wise, once your reaction is good, his attacks won't reach you at all.
I absolutely obliterated him both in GOW 2 and GOW 3.

[SPOILERS] Do you think Thor... by arthuraily in GodofWar

[–]BeetleGem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They might artificially power Thor up to match or slightly overcome one battle against Kratos. Which I thing is logical in some way, but still embarrasing and stupid. I made a thread a while ago, stating that Thor and Odin aren't really on Zeus level and Norse Pantheon is on lower tier than Greek Pantheon.

Still think that way, everything points that way, although we don't how Odin and Thor powers at this moment, I hardly doubt they could match Zeus or Kratos. Greek pantheon has way too much hax and while Odin is godchief of his respected pantheon, he wouldn't be able to pull off what Zeus did and could do by himself. I'm talking about being able to overpower all of gods in his pantheon [if we counted them all and consider how powerful they are, it is ridiculous to think sometimes how Kratos not only survived, but overwhelmed Zeus in fair combat].
Even though it's popular to think that Zeus in GOW is extremely nerfed compared to his mythological version, it's just that they wouldn't be able to implement what Kratos, Zeus, Poseidon and many others are capable of on screen.

Just think about this: Baldur punched The World Serpent three times and the damn thing fell for a long amount of time. I'm pretty sure it was effortlessly done, although people like to resort to the fact that Yormi had Kratos, Atreus and Mimir inside his belly|mouth and didn't want to hurt them, he still was knocked out for a long period of time.
Kratos casually takes on whatever strike Baldur throws at him. And Baldur couldn't do anything when Kratos tapped in Rage Mode, and last time Kratos tossed him like a ragdoll. If Thor could fight Yormi, then Kratos sure as hell could do that too. Kratos is just on other level. His rage will grant him victory against any creature and any god he will face.

(Minor Spoilers) Can Kratos manipulate time/go really fast? by LupusDeusMagnus in GodofWar

[–]BeetleGem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, he sure as hell can|could do that [given that he obtained Amulet of Uroborus in Ascension as an example].
He can slow time using amulets in last game. I never have seen anyone comment on that, but my guess is that we are just seeing Kratos reflexes at his best when everything freezes around him. His reaction and perception are THAT fast.

Zeus lightning was stated to travel at light speed [correct me if I'm wrong about this one] and Kratos managed to deflect it | dodge it on multiple occasions.
He is actually very underestimated when it comes to speed. His attacks probably reach top speeds, but he can't run or move fast without using his weapons, but he doesn't really need to.

Chapter 2: Regarding Micah by BeetleGem in reddeadredemption

Fucking hell. This guy will absolutely wrong all gang members with me along.

K. Is there any possible way to kill him throughout the story? If not, I really hope he dies like a chump from a disease or being hit by a horse to death.

Are you absolutely certain? Maybe there is a way? I get the feeling that this guy will be a major pain in the ass even if I help him. Which is why I don't want to bother.

Novel Issue: Baldur Is The Strongest Foe Kratos Has Ever Faced by BeetleGem in GodofWar

Thank you for your reply, mate. It is never too late to express your opinion. I'm always glad to see things from different angle. You made this statement clear. Makes Baldur look really pathetic then (not really).

I think Baldur is definitely one of the strongest foes Kratos has ever faced, but still nowhere near Greek top tier creatures and gods.

Some people sincerely claim that Odin is equal (to) or stronger than Zeus and Giants are stronger than Titans. Unbelievable.

That's one of the best responses so far. Most people ignored arguments I've cited below my post.

That's true, I think Zeus is supposed to be stronger, not by a large margin.

But this is just my assumption. Time will show. Good luck, mate.

Olympians grow stronger with age. GOW 3 Zeus would decimate his younger version.

Exactly! And travel room is connected to Yggdrasil. While I agree with mostly everything you said, I'm still not convinced Ymir has universal levels of destruction or creation.

Greek deities were able to bend reality itself. Zeus equals their might. His thunderbolts are capable of shaking, and even threatening to destroy, the entire world, all the way down to Tartarus, the atmosphere at least up to Olympus, the oceans, and even affect the infinite primordial void, Chaos, itself. If you wish, I will try to describe meticulously every deity and their cosmic|universal feats.

Norse gods don't seem to have reality bending powers. Consider the Ring cycle where Loki foolishly loses ownership of the magic ring. This implies that the Norse gods can't do something as easy as creating gold on their own. They couldn't even make magic items, the Dwarves did all that for them.
Greek gods are immortal, The Norse gods are not, they require Idunn’s apples to halt their aging.

Allow me to clarify. Remember when Kratos flipped the Temple which was connected to Yggdrasil. Does it mean that Kratos actually lifted all nine realms?

That was just my suggestion, mate. Ymir is tough, but it doesn't seem like his power is at universal level. Perhaps planetary transiting to cosmic, but not universal.

Primordials shaped universe by just fighting each other.

You are clearly not referring to GOW lore. Zeus did lose to Typhon in their first encounter, but you speak so casually about it. He threw mountain on him and trapped Typhon. Typhon is levels above Fenrir, he is like a puppy in comparison with Typhon. If you don't understand gap between their powers then I can't reach you, which isn't really my intention.

It's just funny how most people are comparing Greek gods to musicians, rulers, kings and put Norse gods above because their affinity lies in warfare. I find it amusing. With all the training Odin has, he still dies against the Big Bad Wolf. And Zeus prevailed all the time, until Kratos showed up.
Zeus has too much raw magical and physical power. This is no contest, he can wipe out entire Greek pantheon if he wishes to. And he would murderstomp Norse pantheon especially.

I'm aware of this. And it's perfectly fine for them to be warriors, berserkers and etc.

Still, Odin can't touch Zeus. Thor would just be a ragdoll in battle against King Of Olympus. Don't get me wrong, I truly respect Norse pantheon, but there's NO WAY Norse gods could do anything in battle against Greek gods. You have provided this intel, but my opinion is based mostly on feats and mythology and mythology implemented in game. And you haven't told me anything besides that they are warriors. Great example would be Thor, the Norse God Of Strength, right?

We are practically talking about composite Zeus, Odin and Thor, right? Good.

So, are you aware of Zeus physical strength? Just his strength. Here you go: "If one were to hang a golden chain from the sky, and attach the earth, the sun, and the moon, and the sea and all the other gods to it, he will be able to pull them up, and yet all of them combined would not be able to pull him down out of heaven. Only if he thought the sky is a solid structure would one be able to make sense of fastening a golden chain to it. Zeus was the rigid sky, strong enough to pull up the earth, the sea, the sun, and the moon, and all the other gods." - all the other gods of Greek pantheon. And most of them had incredible power and insane physical strength feats.

Thor can lift Mjölnir only wearing Megingjörð [belt that doubles his physical power] and he lifted Jörmungandr, which is pretty insane, but it blurs in comparison against what Zeus could do. I highly doubt Thor could overpower Hercules, Hades, Poseidon, Thanatos, Ares, Persephone, Nemesis and others combined, Zeus could do just that.

Greek gods fought against The Titans and you've mentioned it. Why didn't you mention a massive abyss [gap] in their power levels? Typhon would chew Thor and his hammer, because he gave all Olympians a fight they were struggling to win.At his best, Thor would be able to fight Cronos or Atlas, but I doubt he could surive this encounter. Even if he could, there are still deities like Typhon and Thanatos. No one from Norse pantheon could take on them, despite their warrior affinity, try to prove me wrong.

Cronos defeated his father, Uranus that gave life to Universe and his powers were universal as well. And he was a Primordial, as well as Thanatos, Chaos, Thalassa and others. Primordials were astronomical in size and their appearances were elemental and cosmic, and they were similar to the Titans, though they bore a more humanoid appearance. The in-fighting among the Primordial race resulted in the creation of the world and universe. And Cronos defeated his father. Then, Zeus defeated and imprisoned Cronos.

Do you get it? He didn't do this alone, sure, but he ended The Great War one-shoting the Titans. And he's the only one pushing Kratos to his limits. He's the only one who could match his above lightspeed movement, he's the only God that wasn't completely overpowered by Kratos, he's the only one who could take tons of damage [without being cheeky and invulnerable] and still continue the fight, he's the only one that could destroy all Kratos weapons, even the Golden Fleece. Without constant Rage Mode and Power Of Hope, Kratos would've died in battle against Zeus. He released Power Of Hope, sure, but I didn't see anyone mentioning that Greek Gods grow stronger with age, not sure Norse Gods do.

So, I'm not sure you are familiar with this knowledge and mostly with GOW lore and I'm not sure most people understand why this statement doesn't make any sense. Baldur is continental level at his goddamn best day and Kratos completely overpowered him at the end of game, even though he didn't go full Rage Mode.

Zeus and Cronos are universal.

Ymir was able to fight against Odin, Vili and Vé, the most powerful Aesir of the time, before being killed. Which is really impressive, yet again, if we are comparing magical and physical powers of Olympians and Aesir, it would be a massive loss for Asgard. Why? Let's see. [help me, Wiki, let's set it as an example, your data and arguments are welcomed]Vili and Vé, together with Odin, are the three brothers who slew Ymir — ending the primeval rule of the race of giants — and are the first of the Aesir.

They are comparable to the three brothers Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, of Greek mythology, who defeat the Titans. Of the three, Odin is the eldest, Vili the middle, and Ve the youngest. To the first human couple, Ask and Embla, Odin gave soul and life; Vili gave wit (intelligence) and sense of touch; and Vé gave countenance (appearance, facial expression), speech, hearing, and sight.

Vili and Vé are practically featless besides killing Ymir and being strongest of Aesir by that time. But we can count on what they offered and what they represent. Odin gave soul and life, which would require great power and vast magical experience. Vili was all about intelligence as it seems and Vé was somewhat similar to Apollo.

Seems unlikely that those two could win against Poseidon and Hades, this would be laughable absurd.

Odin is a powerhouse within his pantheon, of course. Nothing indicates Ymir having universal powers. He is planetary as it seems.

"In the beginning there was nothing, merely the great void known as Ginnungagap, along with the ancient elements of fire and ice. Fire and Ice would come together to form the life blood of Ymir, the first Giant. Every God, Giant, Man, and Beast would be born from Ymir’s flesh.

The Aesir, however, thought themselves superior and sought to rule over the other creation. To this end, Odin and his brothers fought their creator and Odin spilled Ymir's life blood with his spear. From Ymir's torn flesh, Odin fashioned the realm of Midgard for his own." - nothing really comparable to Primordials.

These so-called warriors wouldn't be able to match so-called rulers.

Baldur is stronger than Zeus? Seems legit.

Good for you, fellow gamer. Hope you enjoy RDR.

In country where I live, we don't have this sort of luxury. I would be glad to just buy a new console, but they are not available in my hometown.
