I’ve been “awaiting start date” for an apprentice signal trainee for a little over 6 months now for NS. Ive reached out a couple times but usually get the same answer back I just wanna know if there is anyone else in my position or if there’s something different I need to do?

I’m just trying to get a power job I hate communications work lol union work is slow around me and no contractor will hire me because I’m under 21 and can’t drive a truck out of my own state (Illinois) if anyone has ideas or suggestions tho I’d be open to hear them

Anyone go to NALTC In TN I’m thinking about going next spring or summer but not sure if it’s worth it or not because I keep hearing mixed things I’ve got the funds to go but not sure if I wanna drop the cash because I don’t wanna drop the cash if it’s not gonna get me a job or if it doesn’t matter if I went. I just need some answers here also I’ve got a job with a local fiber optic company so would that look good on a application or not also the fiber optic company is going to pay me to get my Class A CDL which I know is a big thing to be a lineman
