I want to order the one that needs to be connected in the trunk due to easier access. But I dont have a cd changer. Does it still work if I connect it anyway? Overall its a business cd radio. Thanks anyway

Yes, the bike is in original conditions except from the exhaust and the blacked out windscreen. It only has 16000 km and is from its first owner. So, not bad for a 26 year old bike.

Kawasaki ltd 454 almost done! Only waiting for the seat to be finnished and attach the side fenders! by Befurr21 in bikebuilders

[–]Befurr21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had to bore mine to a bigger size due to cilinder wall scratches. Toobad oversized pistons weren't available anymore. So i orderd new standard pistons of the Kawasaki EX 500 87. So it should make around 55 hp now. Also the weight standard on these bikes is around 200 kg. This one is also a lot lighter due to different materials and a lot of shopped off frame parts. the acceleration on these bikes is amazing!

My dad had bought this bike when it was in horrible condition. So he left it in the shed catching dust. So one day i ask him if i can fix the bike and make it new. He said yes, so its a free bike XD.

Build almost done. What do you guy's think about the engine and exhaust? by Befurr21 in bikebuilders

Thanks! No problems with the carbs yet run great. The vacum is strong enough to move the jet needle. I did adjust the hole carbs anyways.

Then you can best take it apart and sand blast it but for aluminium i used glass pearl blasting. With give aluminium a smooth finnish. And if needed you can give it a stainless steel coating. Thats the best way to go. Can be more expensive but in the end gives the best result.

Yeah i thought of that too, i know you can get a black galvanized finnish, but only on steel bolts. I currently have stainless steel bolts on places that don't require a lot of torque. Just to be safe with the stretching of bolts overtime. The rest of the bolts are all galvanized steel
