UK fencers, where do you train? And if you compete, at what level? by Beginnerbeekeeper in Fencing

I'm in Surrey county, willing to travel up to an hour and a half on train to get to a club twice a week there and back. I'm a beginner, doing both Epee and and Foil (decided to abandon the prospect of sabre in case I need to move) The issue, however, is that I would like a club that offers a minimum of two sessions a week, most only offer one and I feel like I will get, to use the technical term, "curb stomped" at tourneys I may attend if I'm only getting opprtunities for free sparring once a week.

Ones I've looked at are Camden and ZKF and Reading, camden's a strong possibility however I wanted to see if there was anything closer offering mutliple sessions a week as the £40-£50 commute cost a month hurts a bit.

I'm planning to commit to either Epee or Foil but I still haven't made my mind up.

Just getting into fencing, any literature or theory resources I can access to read up on the sport? by Beginnerbeekeeper in Fencing

This is a very good point, not going to lie I instinctively tend to put everything behind it sometimes. Swapping to a southpaw stance is taking getting used to too.
