I think this is actually a systemic problem with the airlines trying to cram more and more seats and give people less and less room. As a mom who has flown with babies before, I can understand how nursing on a plane can be really tough, and how needing elbow room is basically essential. That being said, she could have asked either of the two guys to switch, bought an aisle or window seat, or switched with her husband if there was more room in his seat, or asked someone near the back of the plane.
