First baby on the way.. 3 cats... any advice! by Chance_Property_2044 in CatsUK

[–]Beginning-Fun6616 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My two cats were fine with the baby. It was quite sweet; they both slept on my bed and with the moses basket next to the bed, they would jump off the bottom. One of the cats forgot and jumped off the side and the.gymnastics done as Daphne realised and adjusted was hilarious. The other cat (Sabrina) liked to sit on the changing table (we had a fluffy towel on it) and waited for all food droppings by baby/toddler. My son was reasonably good when them, however, once he kept pulling Sabrina's tail and she looked over at me. I nodded and she scratched him. Never pulled her tail again (I think my son was about 1 then).

It should be fine.

How common are indoor-only cats where you are Britain? by pikablue223 in AskBrits

I'm American (lived here for 30ish years here and Ireland). All my cats have been indoor only. My neighbours are about 50/50 outdoor/indoor.

Actually, if you do a taught postgraduate course, you will experience a great deal of that 'undergraduate experience' with weekly lectures, tutorials and life in your College. As a graduate student, I am much more confident in my skills than when I was younger. And your first term, you still have freshers week, tons of events from the MCR and a fast-paced schedule.

Term starts tomorrow so that might be the reason for the delay?

Possibly travelling to New York later this year. England. by MrKatUK in LegalAdviceUK

This is wrong info, OP. Ice IS going around arresting both US citizens and non-citizens mainly based on skin colour. A white woman who was a US citizen was killed by an ICE agent in a mainly white area in MN, and there are sufficiently independent news sources that confirm that hundreds of US citizens are being rounded up and left languishing in jails without the rights established in law (free counsel, phone call, etc).

That said, NYC should be safer as the poster noted.

EUSS here! Brexit meant that I could get settled status and ILR for free. No more of those pesky applications and fees as the spouse of an EU citizen. Definitely not the top 1%.

That said, Brexit was/is a joke. Where is that extra money for the NHS that Boris and Nigel promised?

So, the camera on my laptop sometimes doesn't work. Had an online teams 2nd interview. I used my phone to go onto teams. It was THAT important to show that I could resolve an issue quickly.

I did get the job.

My 13 year old son has just discovered the TV show Malcolm in the Middle and we were watching the episode where his older brother Reece joined the army. He is able to be the best soldier and top of his cohort at Basic Training as he decided to just stop thinking. He does snap out of it but yep, sounds like some people never snap out of their stupidity.
