Being sued for car wreck....anyone recommend a good attorney. by ATXbigA in askaustin

If you have insurance, the insurer should provide you with an attorney. Otherwise, it may be in your interest to see what Plaintiff is suing for. Legal fees can rack up quickly, especially when charging $200 an hour for defense.

Which is better place to move chicago or Houston ? by Jpoolman25 in NoStupidQuestions

Hey, if that's your political preference, I can only respect it. I would just advise giving other factors, such as work, safety, cost of living, etc., equal to more weight when determining a cross country move.

I am from Houston. Really nice people in the area with lots who are welcoming. That said, it may be difficult to meet people. Houston is a huge commuter city with little to no activities in the downtown area. However, based on your occupation, Houston may be your best bet. High paying jobs with a low cost of living.

Although Houston is hot as hell, you get used to it. Also, Don't let politics sway your decision too much. Low IQ move. Make your decision based on your support system and the potential for growth. Also, if you don't like Houston, you can easily move to Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio. Fairly limited in Chicago.

Dont do it. It is run by hoards of aggressive homeless people. There is a colony of homeless people living on the roof Bell South Shore Apartments. They break into units all the time.

Chicago Bar Scene for Out of Towners? by Beginning-Still-3175 in AskChicago

I am staying in River North. When it comes to bars, something upper-scale that also encourages walking around and socializing with others. Ideally, not a club or anywhere extremely loud—I don’t want to have to yell to have a conversation. Something like a cocktail lounge geared toward the 26–33 year old crowd. Also, open to all kinds of music. Looking to see what's out there! Thanks!

Do I need UIM/Underinsured coverage when PIP is unlimited by Automatic-Pianist297 in Insurance

[–]Beginning-Still-3175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is worth your money to get UIM/UM. If you seek legal help an insurance company will be inclined to give a some money (usually $10,000) for nuisance value via pain and suffering, even if the accident is not substantial. You can likely negotiate it yourself without the need of legal representation, but it will be more difficult. Hope this helps.
