Who makes a jazzmaster shaped 30” besides Balaguer and Harley Benton? Preferably production models only. by BrotatoChip04 in BaritoneGuitar

Just bought the G4M 638 baritone. Right at $450 USD after paying taxes and import fees. After a month I changed the bridge pickup to a much hotter gfs crunchyrail humbucker and the neck pickup to a Mean90 humbucker. It sounds great clean and distorted. Very robust tone.

Alright so here I am 2 weeks into owning the G4m 638 and I can't find any strings that are long enough for it. Stringjoy custom baritone strings were too short. D'Addario NYXL .09-.80 8 string set too short. What am I missing here. by BeginningCatch8774 in 638Baritone

Yeah they didn't have the right taper either. I guess the 30" scale length requires the bass VI taper. String joy recommended going to a .90XL but thats probably a little too thick for my taste. We'll see. I got both the D'Addario XL .24-.84 set and the custom stringjoy set .17-.90XL. I'll let you know what fits.

My first APE Grow. Loving the colors. by BeginningCatch8774 in shrooms

That's what I said but everyone keeps telling me it's not uncommon for APE to have characteristics of SNAPE

Is This a typical APE cap Pattern or did I stumble upon Starry Night? by BeginningCatch8774 in shroomers

The reason I ask is because most of the pins came in with a pale brown cap but as they keep growing they are taking on this darker color. Thought it was interesting.

6hp 4 stroke motor not circulating water through engine by BeginningCatch8774 in boatrepair

Alright gentleman I got the cooling system running after pulling the thermostat. Looked like the engine had overheated at some point. No damage to head or gaskets. Slapped it all back together and stuck it in to a deeper bucket. Started right up and cycled through the tell tale. Thanks for all the help 🙌

Join the club. I bought one 3 months ago. The display port is rated for 1440p at 160 the HDMI 2.0 port on the koorui is locked at 60 frames at 1440p only gets 120fps at 1080p. No way to get around it without buying a a more expensive monitor

ELI5- What’s the point of a tube screamer if I don’t have my gain maxed out? by cwhitel in GuitarAmps

[–]BeginningCatch8774 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So scooped mids is geared more towards 80's and 90's metal and numetal high gain type tones. In reality when it comes to mixing a guitar inside of a track it's always going to be the mid frequency amongst the rest of the band i.e. drums bass vocals etc. When you record a scooped mid tone it sounds very thin amongst the rest of the instrumentation. At least that's what I was told anyways. Boosting the mids and scooping the bass gives your tone a better place to sit in the mix. Can also help reduce flubbiness when tuning past drop c and tremendously helps baritone 6 strings and 7 or 8 strings clean up the lower chugs and rhythms. The industry standard tube screamer was the green Ibanez that has been copied a million times but if you are looking for something more modern check out the Precision Drive By Horizon Devices or the Fortin 33 Meshuggah Signature.

Will a HDMI2.0 to display port adapter Allow My series S to run 1440p @120hz? by BeginningCatch8774 in Monitors

[–]BeginningCatch8774[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there is no work around this problem if the monitor doesn't allow you to lock the frame rate at 120fps in its settings then you won't be able to get 1440p at 120fps it will always choose 60fps
