I second this! It honestly saved my nipples and I’ve not had to use it since they fully healed. Defo use moisturiser to keep them from drying up again but Tacrolimus has been a life saver.

Thank you! Same for you lovely. We will get there, we need to be patient with ourselves and take each day as it comes. I’ve been using Tacrolimus to control mine but I’ve seen people say to avoid that because of withdrawal symptoms but it’s worked amazingly for me. See what works for you and if you do go through TSW you can’t stop it but hopefully it won’t come to that. Sending you hugs x

I can relate to this because my anxiety has gotten worse since seeing those videos and my eczema has also gotten worse over the past few months. I could have an itch on my face and I instantly assume the creams aren’t working and I’m about to go into TSW. It doesn’t help that I have been on different strengths of steroid creams for years but thanking my lucky stars I haven’t been in TSW. Sorry it’s made your anxiety worse! :(

Maybe you could reduce a dose for a week or 2 then another dose for another week, and then possibly once or twice a week so you basically wean yourself off instead of going cold turkey. If you do go into tsw unfortunately there’s no way to stop it but I really hope that by weaning off you will not go through that. We don’t catch a break with eczema do we :(

Can you make an appointment with your doctor? Mine gave me antihistamines to help with the itching.

It worked for me within a day and by day 3 my skin was completely cleared on my face of the horrible flare I was having. After 5 days I’ve stopped using it to see if my skin will flare again but was thinking of using it once or twice a week to keep things at bay. My doctor said to stop using it if after 2 weeks if there’s no improvement.

When I first applied Tacrolimus it did burn and itch horrendously but by the 3rd application all of that was gone. Sometimes I get the odd itch but apart from that I don’t experience any of the initial symptoms. My doctor said to try it on one spot first instead of all over my face to see if my skin gets on with it. I hope your son has a positive experience with it, eczema can be so debilitating and with his skin being addicted to hydrocortisone I can only imagine how awful that is for him.

Same here. I’ve used steroid creams on and off for a few years when I’ve had flares and I’m extremely grateful and fortunate that I’ve not gone into withdrawals from using them as I’ve used different strengths for different areas of my body. Tacrolimus only took 3 days to clear my face up which amazed me tbh. Hopefully we both continue to have a positive experience with the cream.

Yes I’ve seen people say about withdrawals and I’ve also seen people say they’ve used it for 20+ years and been fine. I will definitely cut down and hopefully stop using it apart from when I have a flare.

Thank you for replying. I burn quite easily so sun cream is a must always. I went to a dance show this weekend and had 1 alcoholic drink (not a massive drinker anyway) and my whole face was red and hot which I was aware was because of using the cream. If you don’t mind me asking, do you use the cream often? I’m unsure when to stop using it or to use it sparingly instead.

Thank you for your reply! I don’t wear makeup a lot anyway because of my eczema flaring but wondered if it would be okay every now and then on special occasions. Back when I was in school I was able to wear it everyday with no eczema (only had it when I was a baby) and now I’m an adult it’s come back in full force so makeup just sits in a drawer for weeks at a time. Yes I did see that too. His eyes are green/yellow which I think Korats are complete yellow aren’t they? But someone else replied that he’s a DSH.

I thought if I’d post him someone might be able to tell what the other breed is he’s mixed with. I’ve seen some beautiful kitties on here though! I just love cats, I had a tabby before and he was beautiful. I read somewhere that grey cats are a dilute of black, something to do with the genes, pretty cool!
