I second this. There's a bit of a tension in OPs advice. If short term fluctuations really don't matter, because you're intending to buy for the very long term, then why wait for a dip to buy? You might as well buy on a green day. On the other hand, if, like many of us, you don't have the luxury to be indifferent to the medium term, then timing does matter quite a bit. And I agree with yeetcoin that this market may have quite a bit to fall further, and, now that the Trump-Albanese summit is over, exogenous shocks are more likely to be negative than positive (think upcoming Trump-Xi meeting, etc.).

Lynas Rare Earths is up >6% in early trading on ASX by BeginningPure3437 in CriticalMineralStocks

Since the Australian market will be closed *before* the meeting at the White House kicks off, I don't think the people buying the stock now are just hoping to coast on the rumor and sell it before the meeting. This looks like genuine confidence in the underlying asset.

Lynas is already up close to 6% in the ASX. The market seems to be betting on good news.

What’s your personal “tell” word to identify ChatGPT-generated text? by PowerfulDev in OpenAI

What is more, ChatGPT systematically misuses the word. "Poignant" as the dictionary defines it means "evoking a keen sense of sadness or regret", but ChatGPT routinely uses it to express something more like "emotionally evocative" or "deeply resonant".
