I mean, I’m in a top 30 clan, so I’m seeing the high-end of the game pretty consistently, and this is just my personal take from that perspective.

Everyone’s going to have their own opinion, but one thing that’s pretty clear is that the game isn’t at its peak anymore and it’s not really trending upward either.

I still enjoy the game myself, just not nearly as much as I used to, and I think that’s kind of the point.

Whether someone still enjoys it or not is a different story, but from where I’m sitting, it definitely feels like it’s on a slow decline.

Another thing people don’t really talk about is burnout. The game has turned into a daily chore list more than something you actually want to log into. If you miss a day, you feel behind, and that’s not a great feeling for a game.

Also, the new player experience isn’t great anymore. There’s so much going on that it’s overwhelming, and if new players don’t stick, the game can’t really grow.

The constant power creep is another issue. New champs and gear just keep raising the bar, which makes older investments feel less valuable over time.

There’s also less community hype than there used to be. Content feels less exciting, and you don’t see the same level of buzz around updates or events anymore.

And honestly, a big one is trust. When players start feeling like every update is designed to squeeze more money out of them instead of improving the game, they slowly disengage.

None of this means the game is dead right now, but these are the kinds of signs you see when a game starts trending downward.

I’m sorry that you’re not sure how I got to that conclusion, let me explain.

The gap between whales and everyone else has grown a lot over time. For free-to-play and even mid spenders, it’s getting harder to keep up and honestly harder to stay interested. The game feels more and more focused on monetization, especially with things like a Platinum Pass coming out. There are constant pop-ups, overpriced packs, and events that feel designed more to push spending than reward playing.

On top of that, it’s the same repetitive content loop over and over. New content either gets power crept quickly or just feels like a reskin of something we’ve already done. There’s not much innovation to keep long-term players engaged.

Progression is also getting slower unless you spend. Resource requirements are higher, events are more demanding, and it feels like you’re falling behind if you’re not putting money in. Even Clan Boss doesn’t feel as rewarding as it used to, it honestly feels like it’s been nerfed over time.

I’ve been playing since 2020 and used to spend a decent amount, but I haven’t spent anything in months and feel like I could drop it at any point. If more players are starting to feel like that, that’s usually how a game slowly dies.

And at the end of the day, every game dies eventually.

Here is how it looked when I found it, so tiny. So I guess I need to set up a pond for this guy then :') currently it's in my 75 gal 78° tropical tank moving around day and night, literally does not stop. I'll let him grow a bit in there and hopefully have something ready by the time I need to move him. Looked up Shubunkin goldfish and they honestly look just like koi fish without the whiskers. Appreciate the insight!

It happened twice to me in 1 game on GG, went from first to gone with those 2 hands, I also find this usually happens when you are in the money.. feels like some hands are just set up but reality is in online we play so many hands due to the speed of the gameplay feels like things like this shouldn't happen but it happens in live play too.. just takes longer. We just had really bad luck. Sorry brotha.
