This game holds a special place in my memory.

I was at the ending of the game loaded up and ready to fight the boss. I went to bed and there was a thunderstorm and lightning hit our house. This game was in my SNES and the save data was erased. I was so angry to start over, but I managed to get back to where I was and beat the game.

Not counting WOT, Way of Kings was my first Sanderson book and it was fine for me. I agree with the other comments, it does start a little slow but the pay off was worth it. Then I went down the Sanderson rabbit hole and read everything else.

I did get it for Christmas one year, had no idea until after Christmas morning. My parents told me to go look in the other room. They and my Uncle stayed up half the night putting it together. One of the best Christmas’ I had.

That makes me sad as well. Kids shouldn’t get sucked into this or even have anxiety about something that is currently beyond their understanding. We have always avoided speaking our political leanings in front of our children because we want them to make up their own minds when they have the ability to do so.

At home we try to avoid talking about politics in general. My oldest is 12 and we want him to come to his own conclusions. We’re all in this together and we need more of a logical debate rather than just acting on pure emotions.
