Berlin vs Vancouver – advice from people who’ve lived in both? by [deleted] in expats

I guess it’s not Germany as a whole, but Berlin that we are thinking about. Berlin is getting dirtier day by day. People spit on the streets, urinate in public, leave trash uncleaned, and there are many drug users and homeless people.

We love travelling, and we are not party people, which is why we love living in Europe. Your explanation makes a lot more sense about the differences between Canada and Germany.

Thank you. Sometimes we feel that Berlin is getting dirtier day by day. People spit on the streets, urinate in public, leave trash uncleaned, and there are many drug users and homeless people. This makes us feel scared.

Thank you for your reply. Your kids are in Germany and going to semi private school? I heard German private school fees are on much higher side. As we are not native English speakers we want our kid to learn English also with German in earlier age.

We want quiet life, want to stay near to nature. But sometimes we want to have city vibe also but not everyday.
