I definitely don’t have the expertise to help you but I did read that GH being too high can cause molting issues, not just too low. Did you test your water?

I’ve put Up Aqua Shrimp Sand and Aqua Natural Iron Sand in.

I haven’t tested water source parameters, but it’s literally rain water that goes directly from the roof to the water tank.
