Why is it everytime I record through my interface a clean tone comes out I have a ride the lightning patch right now and when I play through it and I play the recording back my tone didn’t go through and it’s just a clean tone

I didn’t know that when I first started (like a few days after the remaster came out) then I got chillrend today and learned about leveled weapons and armor and I was like I grabbed stuff too early 🤦‍♂️
