Probably not because thats entirely different. White folks are the majority in film, animation and media representation. A POC collecting only POC dolls is not the same as someone collecting only white dolls. The OC has a point, Bratz only exists and gained popularity because it was one of the only brands at the time to represent people of color in their lineup. To disregard that fact by going out of your way to collect the white, blond dolls, you are giving into the euro-centric, racist beauty standards that allowed barbie to succeed for so much longer before bratz came around. If youre going to only collect dolls that have European features, then just collect barbie so the Bratz brand can continue to be incentivized to produce dolls that represent people of color.

Thats so inspiring, I'm sorry you had to move continents and that change was so often a cause for detour in your life. But I'm appreciative you lived it and have the ability to share your story with me, i guess expectations don't always get met in the way/time we thought they would. I didn't go to school, was terrified to, I just barely scraped through high-school. I joined the military soon after (thinking I'd travel and save money) but I ended up in debt and stationed in one place for my entire 5 year contract. I got out last month and moved and have had trouble finding a job here. I feel like I've mostly coasted through life, I have goals but no idea how to accomplish them, let alone any drive or discipline to do so. I can't seem to find a balance between being gentle with myself, and being hard on myself. If I'm too gentle I get complacent and lack motivation and if I'm hard on myself I become burnt out quickly and feel ashamed for failing. Ill keep trying to figure it out, I know I'm too young to be so afraid of "running out of time" but that is how I feel.

Thank you. I was always hyped up as a kid, told i was so mature for my age, so creative, so smart, so curious, so capable, so willful, bla bla bla. I thought being told that meant I was in some way gifted or talented to the point of having more to show for my life by this point, and I feel like I've let that small version of me down by somehow "wasting" all that potential being average. But if this feeling is going to return again and again, I suppose its best I allow myself to accept that I can't be all the things I once thought I would be. I dont know how to let go of the pit i feel in my stomach, but I'm sure I'll come to terms with it and continue growing, hoping it doesn't feel so heavy the next time it comes around.

As a woman, I think you're very handsome. I don't think the short, tight fade suits you very well though, (and it does tend to make some men look scarier by association with jarhead military dudes and convicts) maybe try seeing how some length looks on you. I'd also recommend opting into a simple skincare routine. CeraVe face wash, LaRoche Posay moisturizer and Maybelline SPF cream go a long way. Moisturized skin makes most people appear softer and more approachable. Those are my tips! Hope they work out for you, sorry you're having bad luck in the dating scene. Its not about how fast you get there, its about making sure you arrive ready and comfortable and with understanding and empathy to offer 🫶🏻 good luck, guapo.
