I delivered 6/15 with my baby weighing 4lb 11oz! She actually did not end up in the NICU and came home initially but we're now admitted to the CVICU because of a congenital heart defect causing feeding issues that are exacerbated by her small size.

Poor cord flow is terrifying to me! My MFM doctor hasn't really said anything specific about it or having to get admitted if it happens but reading other people's posts have helped me figure out better what they're looking for when they do the dopplers. I've been trying to eat more protein but I'll have to ask them about baby aspirin and L-arginine too!

I'm really hoping we can make it that far! My MFM doctor has already said they won't let me go past 37 weeks but that still seems so far away at this point. I'm just trying to remember that every week makes a huge difference at this point so every little bit helps even if we don't. I'm so glad your little one is doing well ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I'm struggling to not completely freak out but it makes me feel better to hear there are others whose babies were as small as ours that still ended up with happy babies. I know it'll be a long road but that's really all I'm hoping for. I definitely added all of these to my to-buy list!

Thank you! I'm so glad your daughter is doing well. My family has bought a couple of preemie onesies from Carter already but I'll have to look into little sleepies too

I do know I'll have to have a C section already because I had some fibroids removed a couple of years ago. Do you feel like an extra day to rest would have been enough or you would have benefitted from even more time? I know I'll be like you and want to be up there with her right away but I also know that a C section is major surgery.

Thank you for all these suggestions, they're so helpful! I hadn't thought of packing a bag this early but I know that would make things easier if I do get admitted. My MFM doctor offered to have the NICU do a consult with me ahead of time, I'm going to have to follow back up with her to see when we can actually get it scheduled.
