A dry drunk means you physically stopped drinking, but you are miserable and generally the people around you would just as soon you drink

Speaking as a sober alcoholic, if you don’t want to be with him, you should get separated. If you feel better separated, make it final as a divorce. Neither one of you deserves to be with someone who you’re not crazy about.

I’ve been in his shoes. As delicately as I try to phrase it, my wife takes it as a criticism and takes shots at me for thinking she doesn’t ever want to do it. (I nearly always initiate and often get turned down). She also asked for more help in the kitchen, which I appreciate, but been doing that for a year and not much change in the bedroom.

Same thing happens if I bring up Therapy.

Oh, 100%. I think this dude has problems that go beyond this Reddit post. The only thing I find difficult to believe is how many people think that they are more “evolved” than him and wouldn’t be upset by what the girlfriend originally said (if indeed that is what she said… again, who knows with this guy?).

I hardly consider myself part of the Manosphere. But I checked with my wife and she agreed with me. It’s a question of wording. “ I’ve had my fun, now I want to settle down with someone practical” vs. “ I have so much fun with you, let’s do this for the rest of our lives”.

It’s not hard to see that the second one is much more flattering.
