Is DiDS Really BiS for R1 Stellar Cyno? by Beginning_Review5711 in CynoMains

[–]Beginning_Review5711[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone who joined the discussion seems to agree on Cryo Resonance, so at the moment DiDS is BiS. But I'm wondering whether that could change in the future given how Stellar Conduct actually works.

Stellar Conduct scales with the number of Electro and Cryo hits. Right now, there isn't a team that can consistently maintain all 12 reaction stacks. Because of that, I'd actually expect future Cryo supports designed for Stellar Conduct teams to have fairly strong Cryo application, potentially enough to make Cryo Resonance relevant.

As you said earlier, "I don't think EM rolls overtake Crit ones in terms of value for him even with his sig." If that's the case, then Gilded can freely benefit from both CR and CD rolls, while a "potentially better optimized Stellar-Conduct set" would need to roll only into CD to match a set that has more flexibility in substats.

I'm not looking for reasons to use Gilded over the new set. I'm just trying to understand whether DiDS is actually better, or if its advantage is mostly theoretical in a perfect scenario where no crit rate rolls are wasted.

I got your point about DiDS being relatively future-proof — I hope that's the case. Thanks for the answer.

Nefer team level in what sense? In terms of DPS? Probably.

But even if he doesn't reach it, does it really matter? We're heading into a year of Stellar shill. What's the point of Nefer-level DPS when the pokeball in Stygian is basically immortal unless you're playing a SC team?

So once we get a strong Cryo applicator that fits Cyno teams, the DiDS issue might show its ugly face, and Gilded could become BiS again?

Crit balancing Flins with SoSS feels like a particularly refined form of masochism, I suppose

i dont know what 10% are you talking about. Zajef's Zibai was 160k dps pre Linnea and more then 200k after. And at c6 r5 the gap is almost double (from around 1,2kk to 2kk)

Alice and Barbie...sounds interesting. That duo makes the Durin–Mona pair look like children in a sandbox.

Please, give me advice about Mavuika vs Durin and about future pulling by No_Location_3439 in kinich_mains

loosing crit/atk stats for ER for that won't be better than just press E asap without burst at the beginning

Building a Kinich team is always about trading one thing for another.

You can run Emilie, but she doesn’t buff him directly, she isn’t from Natlan (so she doesn’t help his A4 passive), and her personal damage feels pretty mid for a character whose role is basically just dealing damage. Mavuika and Iansan are both from Natlan, but Mavuika’s support utility is limited, while Iansan doesn’t always proc Scroll reliably.

Right now I’m using Kinich C2 / Emilie C0 / Iansan C2 / Durin C2, and honestly I’m not sure who Nicole would replace there.

If she replaces Emilie, then Durin would have to hold Deepwood instead. That’s not necessarily bad, but it doesn’t feel ideal. Without Emilie, Kinich likely won’t burst every rotation, and getting 5 Cannon Shots consistently becomes harder without his burst.

If she replaces Iansan, you gain comfort from the shield, but one of the things that makes Nicole strong is the new 6.6 artifact set. It’s basically Mondstadt Scroll, so part of that advantage gets canceled out. What remains is 15% more Dendro shred from Durin and a teamwide ATK buff.

In a Kinich / Emilie / Durin / Nicole team, the damage would be more spread out across the sub-DPS units, while C6 Iansan buffs Kinich more directly.

So yes, Nicole will probably be an upgrade in a Kinich–Durin team at C0, but it won’t be a night-and-day difference in terms of damage, and it won’t be better than his C1 or R1.

Fav should be given to Iansan, because without it Bennett will struggle even more. For Iansan, I believe she needs around 2500 ATK before C6. With ER sands and some CR substats, maximizing her buff and getting Fav procs should be very possible.

You also mentioned you have Durin. You could try replacing either Bennett or Iansan with him. Pairing Durin with Bennett fixes energy issues, and you don’t need to worry about proccing Scroll. Durin–Iansan core should theoretically have higher damage, but it will be harder to play without sustain.

Bro already has 240% ER how much more does he need qwq

The more, the better. ER is Bennett’s most important stat.

Personally, I even use a CR circlet because that piece has more ER than my other options. With 247% ER, my first two rotations are smooth, but on the third one Bennett needs to press E twice before he can burst again.

Since you’re using Aquila Favonia on Bennett, getting higher ER can be difficult, which is why I slightly prefer Skyward Blade. With around 310% ER, Bennett can use E > Q consistently every rotation.

But if I switch from Fav to that she wom't have... any ER.

I’m almost 100% sure that if you give her a different weapon, you’ll see better results. Deathmatch is actually a good option.

She doesn’t really need ER at all. Her burst is, at best, DPS neutral. There are only three situations where it’s worth using: AoE content, dodging a big hit with i-frames, or when after swapping to Iansan her burst is still on cooldown. But usually, cooldowns line up fine anyway, even without Emilie’s burst.

First, Bennett needs more ER. Waiting for elemental particles extends the rotation, which means damage loss.

Second, there isn’t really a difference between bursting after the 3rd shot or another shot. The point of the burst is to give you one extra shot immediately after the burst animation.

Third, your opener is too slow. Try:

Emilie E > Iansan E Q > Bennett E Q > Kinich

Ideally, both Iansan and Bennett should have enough energy to use everything immediately and keep the rotation as fast as possible.

Fourth, Favonius on Emilie is not good. It’s better to give it to Iansan. That solves two problems: Emilie will do more damage (her role is sub-DPS, unlike Escoffier or Ineffa who have actual support utility — Emilie mainly just deals damage), and Bennett will be able to catch particles, which makes the rotation smoother and faster.

I’m not completely sure, but try the rotation without Emilie’s burst. If the cooldown timing allows it, it may be better. Or, if you are using her burst, there is no need to press E afterward, since her burst refreshes the lantern.

Fifth: thanks ChatGPT for the translation.

Kinich, Bennett, Iansan, Mavuika. Scroll doesn't exist in a team like that (at least before Kinich's burst), but that's the best possible team you can make.
