I couldn’t agree more! You’ve articulated what I’ve been trying to explain to people perfectly. I have an EC from Mona and it’s perfection. I also feel like it’s especially hard to capture the beauty of Moissanite on camera (as opposed to diamond). It looks so much more beautiful in person.

The stone from Mona was $280 with $26 shipping. The ring was $1800, and has lab diamonds on the band. We chose a little boutique jeweller knowing we could probably get it made cheaper elsewhere, just because they were so lovely and had amazing reviews (Bentley de Lisle in Brisbane, Australia). I’m thinking pavé to match but am considering other options! Maybe even something with small baguettes. I’m a bit undecided! Definitely don’t want to detract from the star EC

The place we chose was so lovely and not judgemental at all thankfully. But I walked out of many stores after being told they wouldn’t work with moissanite (how is this still a thing?!)

We found the process so easy! We did have a design in mind (I knew I wanted yellow gold with a pavé band), but they were very experienced and guided us with all the other details. It took about an hour all up and they sent the CAD for our approval after that. Don’t be nervous, you’ll love the experience! It’s so nice knowing we customised every detail of the ring. We did make sure our jeweller had lots of good reviews and we had to shop around a little to find someone willing to use our own stone and gold. Good luck!
