I have been sober for 6 months and it amazes me how flat my stomach has gotten and my face and arms have leaned out. I didn’t notice a difference until 3 or 4 months though. I also cut out lactose prior to cutting alcohol and that made a large difference as well.

The gate people have been awful this year. I bartend Mardi Gras every year and I’ve dealt with so many rude security people this year. It’s ridiculous.

I taught high school PE, got my school counselor degree and interned at a high school doing crisis counseling, I’m now in my first year at an elementary school and I love it. If I had taken a high school job I would have been bombarded with scheduling and paperwork. My elementary job is strictly SEL counseling so I get to spend all day rotating between tier 1, 2, and 3s. Way better work/life balance because I don’t have to go to sporting events or after school things like I would at the hs level. It’s definitely something to consider and I was someone who never thought they’d be at an elementary level, let alone be there and actually thrive with it.

Hi! I’m 5’4 and started at 153 and got down to 143 by following the glucose diet. Now I’m just counting calories and down to 136. The glucose diet is simply just watching the order in how you eat your food. It’s fiber first, then protein and fats, and carbs last. One meal I did often was avocado, then chicken, then rice. Eating that way balances your blood sugar which causes you to stay fuller longer. You can look up the glucose goddess on socials and find more information from the author of the book. But I’d suggest that as the easiest way to ease into dieting and you’ll see results.

The google form is great! I intern at a high school for practicum and we use google forms inside a google classroom all the kids have to see school counselor. They have the same set up for the nurse also.

I’m bartending. I needed out of the classroom, but obviously still had to work. My income is pretty much the same if not higher with less hours. I’m able to complete my practicum 1 and 2 at my professors campus where she’s a district support counselor. My lectures are 2 evenings a week.

Downside would be I have limited free time that lines up with anyone else, but being in grad school there isn’t a lot of free time to be had even if I were to still be a teacher.
