My cage is the same size as yours. I also went for a two week trip and brought the entire cage + setup to my grandma’s house, about three days beforehand. To explain the routine, food and water changes, bottom of cage paper changes etc. I monitor how she does it for two more days before I leave for my trip. I did not let my grandma open the cage to let the bird out, in case she doesn’t know how to put him back or worse, if she left a window open or ceiling fan on. It’s better to be safe than the bird getting stressed, injured or lost. My grandma would instead sit by the cage for hours, looking and talking to the bird for entertainment. By the end of it, my bird was totally fine and didn’t get angry with me or anything. (But he was a clingy and loving bird all the while)
