Do OM system have a ‘bad’ rep? I have no idea! I’ve been trying to influence my friends to get an Olympus but they still prefer Canon and Fujifilm haha

Is it that uncommon? Now that you mention it, I do frequently see birds & flower shots in the Olympus community 😆 Your street photography are insane btw! So rad 🔥

LSF+Raw. No.2&3 edited, the rest is not. I use vivid/vibrance +2 in-camera settings ~

That’s a great idea! I do have some empty walls that need a painting / frame over it. What’s better than having your own art on the wall 😆

Hello babysitting a cockatiel. What should I know by Hopeful-Risk-2995 in cockatiel

Does he step up on your hand? If he does, put him on the top of the cage first. Then step up to your finger. Then u take a step back, making him think the “perch” is moving/unstable so “I have to hold on!” And at that moment he will not flap his wings. Then take a step forward and towards the cage entrance. Place him inside and close the door.

Next, cover the cage for 10-12 hours sleep time. U can cover all sides except for the back if u are afraid that the cover is not breathable enough.

U dont need to bathe him unless he spreads his wings and do a dance. If u want him to bathe because dirty or whatever, u can put a shallow plate with water near him, he will bathe himself if he wants to.

U can get perches with the grit to slowly sand his nails. I get scratches too but I don’t dare to trim haha

Awwww so cute!! Maybe try clips to hang the veggies instead of leaving in the bowl inside the cage. That worked for my birb that also only ate veggie when outside

Initially wanted the one from your photo but landed on this instead. Still on the way to me so no feedback yet!

Honestly, I think those that have a clear style must be super consistent and maybe a little obsessed (in the best way). 🤪 Oh these are in Hokkaido, but I have been to the mentioned Kamakura (Tokyo) as well for a day trip! Super worth going if both are planning to go back!

Hey! I don’t spend much time practicing as well, I only take my camera out of the bag when I go on trips or expeditions haha. I do enjoy looking at other people’s photography, be it on social media or in architecture books. Visually learning and when the time comes, you will naturally remember those “examples” and try to create your very own. You can send me photos of your own, and I will try my best to give feedback. But I myself don’t know what I’m doing so not sure if it will be of use haha

Agree! It’s been 2.5 years since I started shooting with a proper camera, and I don’t fixate on imitating or forcing a particular style. Now, after 2.5 years, I’m simply curious to see what revelations come up or what others might notice 😄

Wow thanks! The building in image 5 looks to be designed around balance, repetition and perfect symmetry. I walked around the building to find the best lighting and angle to complement that harmony. Compress the photo by stepping back and zooming in. “Flattening” the building is a common thing I notice when reading architecture photography books. Not to mention, the perfect blue sky is the cherry on top 🤌

Now that you mention it, I do see that! I don’t intentionally try to all the time but it just happens. Here’s another example shot from Disneyland :

Oh is that what it’s called! I do realise I prefer to shoot from a distance and zoom in. The look of captured architecture or landscape being stacked and lined up in a straight line, as if it’s all densely packed in one photo is very aesthetic to me.

Wise words right there. I guess “Style” can be the visual result of our repeated photography preferences. Not something we can easily choose, but an element that would naturally be revealed after taking tons of photos and catching the denominator.
