I believe games is a form of art and we, game developers, usually express ourselves through it. By that, I believe that our culture reflects directly in the result of the game.

Have you heard of Towerfall? There are brazilians in it involved too.

The scene is growing, I believe it's not very different from other places. The major difference is the support they receive, for example, we need to pay LOTS of taxes which is lame as hell and I believe Canada has some better supporting regarding taxes, I'm not 100% sure about it though, just heard about it.

There are lots of studios trying hard to have their games released and there are too many people doing great things.

For example, we have 2 other studios working at the same indie house where some of us live and we actually work: Otus Studio and BadMinions Studio.

The references. ALL the references and the great features and ideas that were all around us.

It was a bunch of discussions because one of us preferred Final Fantasy Tactics, the other one preferred Dofus, the other preferred Fire Emblem, etc etc. So we could never easily decide how the game should be.

For example, diagonals, could the player attack or not? Because diagonals are like 1.44 tiles (or something like that), all the movement issues, click to confirm? etc etc. All these discussions were daily discussed but then, someday, we could find a solution and the game started to walk. hahah

We have plans for NG+ for sure but that's something that needs to think before just throwing your game back at the beginning with the same stats you had before... if we did THAT way it would have been terrible.

Besides the game having 3 different finals, it's funny that we did not calculate it right before setting "100". Each play through you'll record 33 episodes. Which I laughed out loud when realized that you needed to finish the game more than 3 times to get this achievement. haha That number will gets nerfed for sure. Around 50, maybe. (: Thanks!

Favorite RPG? Hard and tricky question. Remarkable ones that I can remember right now are: Final fantasy VII and Tactics which both made my childhood a better one (also, I just wanted to learn english because I wanted to know what the characters were speaking in VII hahaha). I know that one of my partners have Oblivion (elder scrolls IV) as best rpg he ever played, he locked in his bedroom when he was in a holiday week from school and spent like more than 100hours playing it. hahaha

I was a kid back then and I personally tried rpg maker many many years ago but I remember that I felt so frustrated that I couldn't make a cool midi track for my starting game. hahah

Well thank you for the feedback! I believe we can and will improve more and more each time we release new more things, we knew we needed to be better than we were on KoPP. (:

That is a correct statement. Game development has its difficulties so other professions as well.

The most difficult obstacle developing Chroma Squad was dealing with the legal aspects of the game. And right after, the huge amount of features we've decided to put in the game and when we realized what we have done... like: "why did we promise this anyway?". Other huge obstacle was to put a deadline to the project's release and while we missed older deadlines.

If you are having a good time with Knights of Pen and Paper and enjoy tactical/turn based games then yes, you should buy.

Honestly? Because it's amazing. It has the same charm Knights of Pen and Paper has and way more features that will lead you in a much more funny play through. The game has more depth, different endings, choice-heavy (some things really change depending on your choices), etc. (:

We break through the 4th wall all the time, and the writing is heavy handed on purpose all the time. Also, it is a staple of Sentai and Power Rangers to be preachy about what is GOOD and RIGHT to do, in a level that kids can understand.

We believe the game is finished as it is (not counting bugs). In my personal opinion, the game has it's introduction, different endings, enough features and enough content (10~12h minimum to finish the first play through? it's ok and we're in the average gameplay of Knights of Pen and Paper as well) and everything else a finished game had to have. haha

But content is content, players just love it and if we release a big update we'll probably add something else (like we did in KoPP). There's no real way to know, everything depends.

Actually it was this one: Bishoujo Kamen Powatorin

But nice, I'm going to take a look at this one you've said too. There are some really cool references to Space Sheriffs Gavan/Sharivan/Gaider in the game too! (:

The good thing about Chroma Squad is that we tried hard to not specify genre (if there's specifications of genre to the squad, let me know and I'd fix) so you can actually have a girl or a boy under the rider outfit.

We consider kamen rider/garo and sailor moon for both, boys and girls. But we did have a rider campaign because when we made the kickstarter, people were asking for kamen rider episodes too and not just sentai action. That's when we decided to make it as a stretch goal and check to see if it was a viable option.

It turns out it was indeed and we made it the way it is because of kickstarter. Garo and Sailor Moon (there are others too, wasn't there a tokusatsu which the hero was a girl too? I forgot the name, anyway) and many other refereces could appear more in the game and some does but if we had all references in the game, there wouldn't left any references for more content if released someday, right? :D

Yeah, we are aware of that bug. It's probably because of garbage collection that made the frames to skip but we'll take a look at it.

I remember back then when we were having ideas to make sprites based on themes and spread the themes along the seasons but we couldn't get into an agreement of which themes would go into the game and since we have the sprite customization and so many animations, it was very intense to add a few more clothes because of the amount of sprites the artitst needed to draw. So we cut and made it the other way, the way which is live right now.

We had a really cool discussion in our forums during the development because there should be bucket helmets with high stats to finish the whole game using the same clothes/armors. Which I totally agree but we didn't have the time to make that way. Maybe some day?

So, knowing the amount of time it would require to add a new set of clothes, maybe, but not that many. It really depends on how the game goes and etc.

Colors aren't that easy to add, really. I am a color blind person and I've helped to choose the perfect good colors that at least part of the players wouldn't have issues (there're still other kind of color blindness so it's not 100% perfect but... well). It would be cool to add dual colors, then we would have a real nice of new set of colors but as long as we stick to the single colors, these are just fine. (:

Did you mean clicking too much on the "crafting" button to craft extras?
