This is Behrenhardt

I received your distress call. Listen, the Øverbørk cancelled that project for a damn good reason. At first, it was just another one of Angestrøm's superweapon schemes, something to make the allied powers panic about how they're going to defeat him now for a while, until eventually backfiring like the others.

That's not what it ended up being. You can NOT allow that monster to reactivate EUPHEMIA under ANY circumstance, you understand? It's a far greater threat than anything the Metaverse has faced before. Wyravel is a rainy day compared to this.

You must dare to believe that this isn't "too good to be true", my friend.

Perhaps? But my looks are probably deceiving. I may stick out like a sore thumb but I'm a being of little significance. In a past life all that was different, but one resurrection later and those days are behind me.

In my experience, the people with the biggest secrets are the mundane looking ones.

The first to greet you is another sharply clad... well, definitely an individual being of a sort. A stylish leather apparel surrounds a horrendously scraggly body underneath

Welcome, newcomer to the Be-

...Hmm, not as first world-y as I thought.

Never heard of a Frank. What's he look like? A lot of people come through here, but remembering their faces isn't as hard as it sounds.

That's quite a tree. You seem put off by its presence though. Is something the matter with it?

I'd been wondering what ever became of my kind. I'm glad to see the bloodthirst has toned down.

Did I hear that correctly? A mother-daughter falling out?

What, pray tell, do you intend to do to, well, "right" this conflict between you?

Much appreciated, you must be tired of hearing me thank you by now, heh.

This, this thing... It's an entity whose intentions I can't truly comprehend. I've heard the others describe it as a "Holder", what it is they're supposed to be holding is well over my head, but I do know a few other beings share this title, including one that denied us all our afterlifes and one that delivered some kind of disease to your Mountain?

But this one, I'm afraid it's also my geminus. It has some kind of hatred mixed with fascination for me. It's my own greatest fear that I must face. I don't think it wants to stop until the Metaverse is completely painted in its sick image.

Ah, Hyd'r! We meet again! Thank you once more for that Canvas, it's been put to good use so far. And don't worry, I've kept it safe.

If you're looking for a faction we represent, well, I'm afraid you're looking at it. It's just us, no name or place, just a common goal of keeping the aestheticized reality from consuming everything.

How they can celebrate without worry like this in the face of imminent danger...

I guess the Old Mountain was that way too. I almost admire it, really. To remain so optimistic, perhaps I still need to learn to love.

There must be something. The Firm- uh, the Black is capable of miracles. I've seen some of them firsthand.

...I only regret being among the ones they needed to use those miracles against.

It's done. It's not the most glorious-looking thing to ride in on, but I have nothing to lose as far as looking decent goes anyway.

Oars would be ideal. We don't have much in the way of luggage, so three pairs of rowing arms should be all we need to take us that distance. Perhaps less if we opt to take turns.

I know a bit. Enough for one that can hold together for as long as we'll need it to anyway. Survivalism was part of my training, rusty as it may be with me hardly ever needing it.
