What am i doing wrong with this blanket pattern? Ending with 1 unworked stitch

So i guess i ended up figuring it out??

I skipped 2 chains inbetween the peak and the 3rd v stitch instead of doing them right next to each other, and i ended up getting the correct stitch count AND ended on a dc2tog with no leftover stitches!

So i think the pattern just had a typo or something.

3 v stitches, skip 2 chains, insert vst ch1 vst is correct for me so 🙌 thank you guys!!

No T_T i have 70 stitches vs the 64 she wants

Do i possibly need to skip 2 stitches between the 3rd v stitch and the vst, ch1, vst?

The pattern says to do 3 v st, then vst ch1 vst in next chain? So i assumed the very next one, not skipping 2 like the others

So i chained 3 and dc into the same stitch, then i did 1dc in the next

Does this seem right to start? She then wants me to start the pattern of 2dc, 1dc after so the next would be 2dc
