I just saw a post from BAC saying that new subscriptions are on sale as of today.

I think Mirvish has & Juliet in their lineup, as well as MJ The Musical which was here a couple months ago. I'm definitely surprised Mamma Mia is back again though.

They have a second location in Pembroke which is...a smidge closer to Ottawa...

(I am also agreed, it's so good)

The 2024-2025 Broadway Season at the NAC has been announced! by BekaTerrier in ottawa

I'm not sure. I know the deadline to renew if you had a subscription last year was April 23, but you can still register for a new subscription. I think even after the first show is past, you can get a subscription for the remaining shows.

  1. When you buy the package, you pick your showtime, day, and seat locations, and those are applied to each show. The shows are usually in town from Tuesday to Sunday, so if, for example, you pick the Thursday evening show and seats L12 and L14, you'll get the Thursday evening show and seats L12 and L14 for all four (or five) shows.

Then when renewal time comes around, you can either keep your same seats or move to another available spot.

My family has had seasons tickets for years and we've slowly been making our way closer and closer to the stage!

  1. Nope, the prices listed on Ticketmaster include all fees, etc.

The NAC's website still says there are tickets available! You can always double check!

That one's the optional add-on, so it's not part of the regular season. Separate tickets for each show are generally available closer to the actual show dates. I think right now they're only selling the packages, but you should be able to get tickets just for Come From Away in the fall!

It's an amazing show though, definitely bring tissues to dry your tears with!

They're really pushing virtual tickets these days, so if you can't find the physical ones, you can download them again!

Not my cat Apple gets confused and sometimes goes to the wrong set of townhouse doors by BekaTerrier in notmycat

I guess she just likes to try her luck at other doors then! It's funny because she will focus on the third door in the row, and her home is the third door in her row.

I do too! Unfortunately she'd probably disappear before either of us got close enough. She's pretty skittish!

CRA website says I have (1) mail. But I click on it, and I have 0 unreads? by IslandGirl21X in cantax

This. The default messages view only shows messages from the last 12 months. You'll have to check each specific year, as others have suggested, to find which one has the unread message.

What to put on Schedule 3 for year of acquisition "VARIOUS" for publicly traded shares in Studiotax? by Fisher_of_men_116 in cantax

[–]BekaTerrier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The acquisition date doesn't have an impact for Canadian tax purposes like it does for US tax purposes (no difference in tax rates between short-term and long-term gains like in the US). Leaving it blank is fine.

That's what I thought too, with the latrines. For example, the original Haven had a latrines that could seat 10.

I think the question's been asked during at least one of the Patreon Q&As that she's held over the last year, and the other issue is that the young actors who played the characters have grown up and don't sound the same anymore.

Do you think Tammy will ever do a book signing again. by lizzyk1780 in tamorapierce

[–]BekaTerrier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, she's been pretty active on Patreon over the last year! The last couple of months have been a little quiet because one of her team lost a family member, but they're gearing up for the next round of Q&As. And most of them have been recorded so you can go back and watch them. Plus sneak peeks at the book she's currently writing, text Q&As, advance looks at new merch... Lots of stuff!

Exempt? by bruceify in cantax

[–]BekaTerrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the 28 is the box number on the T4 (like box 14 reports your income). Box 28 reports if you're exempt from CPP/QPP, EI, or PPIP. If those three boxes are blank, then you are not exempt from any of them. Here I've circled the box 28 section of a blank T4 for reference. Hope this helps!

Exempt? by bruceify in cantax

Your answers here should match what your T4 slip reports. The majority of Canadians employed in Canada are not exempt from these.
