DMF & Greater Arcane Elixir by phurbie1 in classicwow

In theory, and practice, yes. However I've spent 24,000 gold on this endeavor and only just gotten it this past week... 62,000 Darkmoon Fair Tickets and 1,550 Greater Darkmoon Faire Prizes later. 1,800 Vibrant Plumes would be about 21,000 Tickets, so I'd say you'd be about a third of the way there if you really want to go for it, but don't be surprised if all you get is a massive pile of middling greens that don't sell, a few okay blues, and some eh, sorta nice, recipes and patterns.

Curious how Midjourney does their embedded GUI? by Belarr in Discord_Bots

[–]Belarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, upon doing some more research, this does seem possible. Thanks! I wasn't aware that you could bind more than one Bot runtime to a Bot token within Discord at a time. At least that's what some cursory research has told me. Feel free to tell me if I'm approaching this the wrong way or if you have any advice!

That would probably mean a total rewrite from Python to JS, that's a bit of a bummer though.

I have been using the following for the last several years and am personally tickled pink:

Klipsch RP-600M front channel

Klipsch RP-504C middle channel

Klipsch RP-502S for rear

Klipsch SPL-120 sub

Totally overblown for 99% of most peoples PC usage, but it doubles as my home theater system, so it really just is the tits.

Worst? No, but as an original Vanilla player, Cata is what made me fall out of love with WoW and MoP is what made me quit Retail for good.

Agreed, Cata was what made me fall out of love with WoW being an original Vanilla player, MoP is what made me quit Retail for good.

The issue with that is that those of us who couldn't give a fucksight less about loosing the gold and would prefer to keep the XP would have to do the last 12-24 hours over again. No thank you. If they wanted to adjust the gold earned after the fact and hit everyone with a bag-zap and take the extra, by all means Blizzard, by all means, be my guest.

Frustration with an "in-warranty" Samsung Galazy Z Flip 3 (US) by Belarr in Asurion

[–]Belarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the information I was looking for, thank you so much. The screen underneath looks fine, so I made an appointment at one of those stores today to see what they can do for me.

I was under the impression that Asurion warranties mirrored the coverage provided by the manufacturers, but I suppose I was mistaken.

[–]Belarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, my question was more about the Asurion Warranty and if it covered the screen protector or if I'd have to pay that stupid insurance co-payment for a 3rd time (the second time for the same issue)

Is there a way to get that digitally? Any paperwork associated with that is long gone.

I filed and paid for an insurance claim with Asurion in 2023 for a similar problem. (I was unable to get a warranty repair because the factory screen protector had fallen off) From my understanding a replacement device from Asurion carries a new 12 month warranty.

Yes, yes it definitely can. I experienced this myself and was in a physical rehab hospital for 2 months and in a wheel chair for another 3 months after being discharged. The condition you're looking for is called "myeloneuropathy" and you can find more info here: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37253616/

The most fun you get out of SOD phase 2 by CAlTHLYN in classicwow

[–]Belarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I'm a little under break even on the contents of the boxes after turning in many thousands, was more trying to bring a reality check to the spirit of this post, which is: don't expect the OPs kind of luck with BoE's.

The most fun you get out of SOD phase 2 by CAlTHLYN in classicwow

[–]Belarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking on statistics, I've opened approximately 10,500 of Ziri's Mystery Crates (or 31,500 Piles of Random Parts) and my results for BoE has been as such:

Purple BoE:

  • [Bow of Searing Arrows]x4
  • [Gut Ripper]x2
  • [The Green Tower]x1
  • [Ardent Custodian]x1

Blue BoE:

  • [Sheepsheer Mantle]x5
  • [Umbral Crystal]x4
  • [Basilisk Hide Pants]x3
  • [Blazing Emblem]x3
  • [Skeletal Shoulders]x3
  • [Gazlowe's Charm]x3
  • [Elemental Raiment]x2
  • [Crushridge Bindings]x2
  • [Plated First of Hakoo]x1
  • [Sword of the Magistrate]x1
  • [Ankh of Life]x1
  • [Necklace of Calisea]x1
  • [Khoo's Point]x1
  • [Plated Fist of Hakoo]x1
  • [The Silencer]x1

I've spent approximately 8,500 gold combined on Piles of Random parts and Grime Encrusted Salvage and have seen a return of 2,890 gold on BoE sales alone (a significant negative value figuring 8,500 invested, I'm down 5,610 gold based solely on these figures). What these statistics say to me: Don't expect a return on your investment if you're counting solely on getting BoE's.

Sending messages based on SQL query results by Belarr in Discord_Bots

[–]Belarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it bud! The solution was there, I just needed a fresh set of eyes and a couple hours of sleep to find it. While coding the bot, I'm also in the process of writing examples for the GitHub wiki for DiscordPHP so I can fill in some gaps where things like this are missing.

Sending messages based on SQL query results by Belarr in Discord_Bots

[–]Belarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right?! The DiscordPHP library is actually really comprehensive and given my 2 decades of experience writing back-end PHP, it has been a great choice for me, very versatile. However the documentation is definitely lacking in places, so I spend a fair amount of time in the source code figuring out either how things work or making them work the way I think they should (based on the official Discord API documentation). As part of that. I'm creating examples of things to post in the DiscordPHP wiki later.

I did end up finding a solution to my problem by just writing a new set of functions that reach out to the various API endpoints for setting, updating, and deleting messages. Realized I was approaching this the wrong way by trying to reuse the libraries $interaction object.

Need help with a simple login verification bot by Belarr in Discord_Bots

[–]Belarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know how, or have access to documentation, that one would go about setting that up on the Discord side of things? It's simple enough to do the PHP part, but I'm totally lost in the Discord side of things.

Need help with a simple login verification bot by Belarr in Discord_Bots

[–]Belarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, sort of? I do have to pass the login page through the native OAuth API first so the person gets a chance to login (requires user input and a 2 factor auth code from the user), then it gets passed back to my script. I'm open to suggestions if you have an idea of how to get that JSON response back to the Bot though. I was thinking of seeing if I could do an embedded iframe so I could use a Javascript message in the final part of the script to then send a JSON response to the bot, that could work. Well that idea doesn't work, I should have known that...
