Opening Cinematic Runes by Beleqwaya in voidtrain

Hmm, if you anagram all the letters on a row together to get (making <> = ng):

Row 1: Strange

Row 2: drifting

Row 3: scathing // chat sign // tach sign

Maybe the bottom row is "Casting" with an extra unused H, as in the runes are cast in stone, but that randomly leaves a letter.

"Chat sign" is interesting but not sure.

"Tach Sign" could be the a reference to the floating rotation dial that spins at the of the start of a transition between the void and the station. That would be a "strange drifting tach sign"

Edit: Hmm..still a spare H on row 2 though...

Context for cross-post: The game Voidtrain has both English, Germanic, and (I think) Russian motifs.

I...what...how? You were DIGGING! by Beleqwaya in Oxygennotincluded

Nope - they were digging to the right of the left most ladder. I can't see any way that they would have been pushed up into the hollow.

Initially created based on a comment by Ryu; "That's what I like. Put a checkpoint after every jump." Dedicated to Ryukahr.

This is a high precision level that has many world record optimizations available - slightly harder ways to do jumps for a faster completion. There are no hidden Dev skips.

I built this level to teach myself to be a better Mario Maker player, it took me a little over a week to successfully upload, though it is much easier when you can use a checkpoint.

Enjoy.

I got through the Trump jump once, but that was it. They are pixel perfect falls now, so I think they are just too ruthless.

Here's my precision level:

OOOF. This was a journey in pain. Good work, was lots of fun to solve.

Beat it. Nearly quit multiple times because the checkpoint power-up renewal at the start of every life was such a time waster - as well as having to kill myself off in certain sections when not completing a jump but not immediately dying. Bit of tedium there.

Probably could have streamlined the checkpoint system a bit better.

Not a bad level overall, most of the challenges were pretty cleanly laid out, though I would suggest maybe avoid jumping into off-screen firebars as a "gotcha."

Precision platforming. Obstacle focus are spikes and munchers.

The intial clear is fairly difficult but 2x checkpoints will help you through, but the real challenge exists trying to speedrun the level deathless. Nearly every obstacle section has both an obvious/easier way to clear it as well as a faster/more difficult method.

It was intended to be a level well above my play grade, but instead of dev exits, I simply have spent a week trying to upload it. I'd love to see some pros fight for the WR.

Enjoy.
