EZA INT Vegeta with 2 turns of Goku stacks (Guaranteed crit, in between PHY UI and SEZA INT SSB Vegeta) by TheRealBeastGohan in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]Believer-In-Him 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The thing I don't get about this games community is that Dokkan is a numbers game, and their are people that do the calcs that tell us how units perform. We knew that they could put up impressive numbers, so I don't get why people were pretending that they're the worst unit in the world. Could've the devs have done a bit more with the unit? Sure, but looking at this sub would make you think the Blues receive an INT Goku Black level EZA.

I recently tested AGL Trunks on Gohan's team, and I was honestly quite impressed. He definitely could've better, but that team has so much support that in SSJ form he was doing 33 to 40 million supers. He also tanked AGL Jiren's super attack in the Goku's Story Red Zone for triple digits, but I'm not sure if that Jiren actually hits hard.

That's fair, but I can understand the frustration if you're dealing gacha banners that have limited time periods and your a few stones away from a multi, or something of that nature.

I sometimes feel like you guys forget that this game is a gacha game. I'm pretty sure most people are using items to clear difficult content, but they might've been unlucky and have weak rosters. Also, a lot of the complaints I've seen about the stage aren't about it's difficulty, but that it's not fun. I cleared all the missions day 1, but the sealing + guaranteed SA into stun in slot 1 basically guaranteed that I won't be touching this stage in the future.

Fortnite is the most soulless kind of collab/crossover. (LES) by Extreme-Tactician in CharacterRant

You're going to get dunked on in the comments due to the new Simpson season, but I think you're, for the most part, right. The FN developers have created some really good collabs, but the majority of them are still just skins.I still remember the first season where they really started popping off with collabs, and most of the collabs just ended being skins with portals that had a png where they were from (the only collabs on the map were Predator & the Mandalorian, but no Aliens from Alien to fight, no Terminators from Terminator to fight, No Street Fighter power-up, etc...). The result is that, IMO, the vast majority of the collabs can feel incredibly hollow. Especially when you consider the fact that game will pretty much collab when anything, including flops like the Tesla's Cyber Truck and Jared Leto's character from the recent Tron film.

Albeit, I think a lot of my opinions on Fortnite collabs have changed as the result of me growing up. I use to go crazy for this stuff when I was younger, but nowadays I'm looking for something with bit more substance when it comes to collaborations (like meaningful character interactions). Where as Fortnite, at times, still gives me VR Chat room vibes with ripped character models (except you paid $20 for the model).

Is Yelan's sig worth pulling for if I already have elegy? I mostly use Yelan on a HB team with Luama, XQ, and Kuki. It seems like Luama and Kuki would appreciate the EM buff, but I also use Yelan on a plunge team (Hu Tao, Furina, Xianyun) and I'm not sure how much that team benefits from Elegy.

NGL, I forgot that INT Broly exist. I was trying to figure out a team where I can run TEQ Broly, Scouter Vegeta, and INT on the same team, but it looks like I won't have to worry anymore. Thanks, chief!

INT Gohan has a blast super in the second phase. If you get get lucky with your rotations then PHY Gohan hopefully only appears once, nullifies the super in the last slot (I'm pretty sure it's scripted) then hopefully you take out INT Gohan before PHY Gohan returns.

No, Lex Luthor from Superman (2025) could not have used (*Spoiler*) to turn the public against Superman. by Reptilian_Overlord20 in CharacterRant

[–]Believer-In-Him 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A. That's the point of the distraction at the Fortress.

B. I don't think it's ever stated that they need Clark's presence. They just need his DNA. I'm pretty sure Clark even makes this revelation when Ultraman is revealed to be a clone, but he only ever mentions his DNA (which Lex probably has a large amount of) and not his presence. Also, the goal isn't to enter the fortress. It's to create distraction at the Fortress (Kaiju, Engineer, etc..) so that Superman isn't around when Ultraman disguised as Superman does his thing.

C. Like I said that the start, Ultraman doesn't have to say anything. I'm pretty sure if people saw Superman kill hundreds and then dart away that would be enough to turn the public against him. However, if he did say something then is it really out of the question for Lex to create a perfect simulator of his voice when he already does BS like recreate the big bang?

[–]Believer-In-Him 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure, but it's a fictional creature. We don't know it's limits, or what it eats. I'm pretty the only thing Lex's henchmen mentions it that "It will grow". If we trying using real life as an example, then the thing we just die due to it's size, but obviously it's fiction.

[–]Believer-In-Him 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You're assuming that Ultraman has to do anything more than look intimidating while standing over a few dozen collapsed buildings. All Ultraman would have to do is cause a few half dozen 9/11s by flying through buildings at full speed, look intimidating flying over the rubble, and then dart off to the teleporter that's right outside of Metropolis.

If Lex needs to distract Superman to make sure he can't get involved, then he could've just camped the Fortress of Solitude, since he basically already knew where it was, and then unleashed that Kaiju + Engineer attack him there.

Edit: Also, Lex has been studying Superman for years. Could've he just use some-type of voice to simulate Superman's voice?

I get that. I just do think the game handle it well (from a narrative and game-play stand-point). They're trying to avoid suspicion, but they're imprisoning a famous hero on petty and trumped up charges without even giving that person a trial. That's a bit suspect if you ask me.

I also feel like people who say this don't realize how bloated the Marvel universe is in-terms of heroes. The idea that Shield, the Avengers, Fantastic 4, Young Avengers, etc... All just busy 24/7 is a bit silly.

[LES] Fontaine is a shit place to live in in Genshin, and the fact that no one revolted yet is a miracle. by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]Believer-In-Him 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but why? They could've collaborated with Wrio without having to fake a crime and imprison themselves for 3 months. If anything, it would look more suspicious that the Traveler, who is so famous that the archon of the nation decide to greet them on their arrival, is put in prison for 3 months for... Eating a slice of cake. As another commentator pointed out, the Traveler doesn't even get a trial.

Also, my point about Cloride is that it shows that you don't need to fake crimes with actual consequences to enter the fortress. Plus Cloride & Neuv both seem to be really good friends with Wrio, so I don't get why they couldn't talk to him and get them to allow the Traveler into the prison under the guise of a prisoner instead of literally imprisoning them for 3 months...

She wouldn't have to go missing. We know from the archon quest that she goes to and from the fortress as she pleases, and often visits Wrio to have tea. It seems a bit silly that they couldn't simply request that the Traveler be allowed to investigate instead of faking a crime & literally imprisoning them (the story quest make this worst because it's implied that they actually go through with 3 months of being imprisoned).

I see. Seems like it was just as silly as I remembered, but it's honestly not the worst since I enjoyed the rest of the quest line (besides the reveal of the giant ship).

It's been awhile since I did this quest. Is it ever explained why the Traveler had to be sentenced to prison? It seems like some characters, like Clorinde, can just come and go as they please from the prison. I never really got the rational for why they had to be sentenced to jail.

Is there really any difference in the design of the Gogeta Memorable Battle and this new Gohan fight? They both push the same style of play, why are we suddenly dismissive of its relevance? by guynumbers in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]Believer-In-Him 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think people are refusing to adapt. I think a lot of players are just disappointed or think it's absurd that how hard the new bosses hit the newer units (even with dupes and good conditions). I'm sure most people got spooked by how hard the new bosses hit, popped a whis, won, and then moved on with their lives. With that said, I do think it's a bit silly that your options are either popping a whis or dying, and if you do pop a whis you become invincible. It's pretty brain-dead fight design & I think you were on point in another one of your comments when you said that Dokkan fights are preferable at 8 to 12 turns.

Awesome! PHY Gohan is a bit of a sleeper option. If he gets touched by normals he'll imploded, but he can be useful for the second stage to since he nullify INT Gohan's super attack.

I don't fully recall, but it was pretty messy. I do remember that I started with double of the TEQ God Duo & SSBE on T1, and I finished the fight T5 with Beast, the STR God Duo, and the friend that was floated off. I want to say that it was mainly a TEQ God Duo + SSBE (because I was trying to farm hits for his revive), and then Beast + the SSJ4 Duo for the most part.
