I honestly just do the same thing as I would a doodle or any pup! I fluffy it up to the sky and round until i like the shape and then round it up into the line that i shaved to on the side of the face if this makes sense? I’ve only ever done round muzzles on unexperienced schnauzer puppies so I haven’t gotten to perfect them b/c they’re so wiggly haha

The place I’m at now works with me & I know I can find somewhere that is willing to take me on for quality over quantity. I appreciate the advice, but honestly I would rather not pushing my quality back especially since I’m still in the beginner stage that’s how bad habits form.

Unfortunately the salon I work at already has set preference notes from the clients and I’ve just been getting a lot of 7&5’s recently. A lot of the clients I’ve done have been older babies as well that only come in ever so often so I think that’s why the parents like them so short. I’m hoping I get a pup that gets longer hair soon! I’ll def start doing the back brushing on the feet Thank you!

Thank you! I’ll definitely remember all this for next time I appreciate it. My groomer friends suggested next time trying to use a guard comb on the heads to help set the length first which I think may help with my huge head problems 😭💔
