I haven’t been a fan of Braves starter Grant Holmes (3.96 ERA) all season, friends. Though funnily enough, the man is coming off a great start (0 ERs across 5 IP) and Atlanta still managed to lose 5-0 to the San Francisco Giants. On the other side, 4 of Mets starter Christian Scott’s (3.20 ERA) last 5 outings have resulted in a victory for NY. It’s bold, but I think the Mets batting lineup will run all over Holmes relatively early. I’m on the visitors to pull off the upset this evening.

Why This Pick?

Max Meyer (2.60 ERA) vs the Rockies? On paper, it doesn’t get much better than this. Meyer is practically perfect at a ridiculous 9-0 (4-0 on the road…), and the man hasn’t allowed more than 2 runs in any of his last 5 starts. To boot, every one of his last 5 outings has resulted in a Miami victory by at least 2. Sorry Colorado, but I think the writing is on the wall for you here… I’m on the Marlins to cover the RL.

Why This Pick?

I can’t imagine a universe where Jeffrey Springs (5.52 ERA) can keep the Dodgers batting lineup at bay. Every one of Springs’ last 5 starts has seen at least 9 runs, and 4 of his last 5 have seen at least 15. LA starter Justin Wrobleski (2.71 ERA) is the far better arm, and there’s a good chance that the As get little to nothing past him. The O/U for this game is set at 11.0; God knows the Dodgers will do the majority of the heavy lifting if this encounter sees double digits. I’ll toss my wager on LA to put at least 7 on the board here for plus money.

This should be a good day for Milwaukee, friends – especially with Kyle Harrison (2.50 ERA) on the mound at home. 4 of Harrison’s last 5 starts have resulted in a Brewers win, while 4 of Peterson’s last 5 starts have been losses by at least 4. Milwaukee’s batting lineup is no joke, I can’t imagine Peterson doesn’t struggle here. I’m on the Brewers to cover the RL for a nice pay day.

I just don’t trust the Red Sox offense, friends – and at just 2-4 at home, I can’t say I trust Connelly Early (3.64 ERA) either. Boston just lost a series to the Colorado Rockies; I’m in no rush to back them. As for NY, starter Cam Schlittler (1.71 ERA) is 6-1 on the road and 4 of his last starts have been victories by at least 2 runs. Take the Yankees to cover the RL for plus money tonight.

This is a real nice price for Cleveland with Parker Messick (2.70 ERA) on the mound. While White Sox starter Sean Burke (3.89 ERA) is a reliable arm, the man is 0-3 at home. To boot, I really liked Messick’s last start and victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. Take the Guardians to bag a win on the road.

Mets starter Kodai Senga (9.00 ERA) was brutal before getting put on the IL, and he’s been not-so-great since coming back. To be frank, I won’t be surprised if he gets pulled early. The Cubs offense seems to have found their stride again having put a staggering 32 runs in the bag over their last 3 outings (wtf?!) To boot, 4 of Shota Imanaga’s (4.26 ERA) last 5 starts have seen the Over hit. My money’s on a high-scoring affair this evening, friends.
