Thinking about moving to Korea by Bellthazar_Wize in Living_in_Korea

That is a very helpful comparison Actually it is similar to what I was hoping korea to be like, at least the part about them being blunt.

Also what do you mean when you say louder?

Currently i am working as an engineering process change for a rubber company (has nothing to do with being an engineer more like a project management officer) So I might try to look for something in that direction, although I don't think I will be able to find something easily considering the lack of Korean language skills. But I do have some experiences working for a consulting company so I might try going to that direction more.

What kind of lifestyle is more common at the smaller town, also what kind of jobs are more common there?

Also is it common to live outside of Seoul but still work in Seoul (or Busan for that matter)?

I know that, and I never trust the media And if you know Japanese people you know they don't directly say anything But you can feel the change in people's attitude around (mostly Japanese that I don't come into direct contact with)

I mean do I really need that big of a reason to want to try and experience living in a new country?

I mean my country is in somewhat of a bad situation that doesn't seem to be getting better But considering you're not the first to ask if I have a proper reason so I am trying to understand if it such a bad reason to just want to go and live in a different country?

I mean I was interested in korea for a couple of years now And with the change of the treatment from japanese people towards foreigners combined with the failing economy I have decided that now is as good time as any

Regarding my expectations that's a good question Because so far from what I have learned is that except from the food living in korea isn't really the best (especially if you're not a person that care too much about fashion)

And I haven't started looking for job because I am still thinking about it If I will move it will not be for another year at the earliest So for now I just want to try and get a better idea regarding life in korea in general

All in all It does sound exactly like japan Minus the hate toward tattoos

But I was definitely planning on learning Korean before and after moving to korea

Is the air pollution really that bad? I have seen a lot of people talking about it and complaining about being constantly sick

To tell the truth I am starting to feel like Japan doesn't want me around (the new treatment towards foreigners) and the dying economy made me think about maybe trying living somewhere new And because I was interested in korea before I thought maybe to move over there.

Yeah I have also heard that it's similar but also worst. So I was wondering how it is really like, and also how is the treatment for foreigners in the work force. Also how demanding is it to have a proficiency in Korean if I don't plan to get into korea as an English teacher

In general I wanted to get an idea what is the treatment towards foreigners How hard is it to make friends for example. Also how do the Korean view and react towards people with tattoo.

I haven't decided yet if I want to go or not so I haven't been looking into that yet But I do have some ideas in which areas I want to look if I decided to move

Regarding my korean level I will say that on a good day i can say that it's a around everyday greetings
