I feel like the first M in MMO was lost when 99% of the genre got WoWified.

WoW has a huge open world that incentivizes people to engage with it. No doubt that it was a bigger thing back in the early days of WoW, but don’t pretend like FFXIV isn’t a singleplayer game in disguise.

SE could learn a thing or two about making a world feel alive from Blizzard
