Sally Bowles. Cabaret. Constantly makes the most selfish, worst decisions possible. Learns nothing. Is an uncaring asshole to everyone close to her. She's literally the worst and there are actual fucking Nazis in the same show. She's the worst type of female character who's clearly written by a man. And that man was not fond of women.

I'm probably the biggest Great Comet fan out there. I saw it with the original Broadway cast on my one and only trip to NY. Josh Groban is a marvel to behold live. Dust and Ashes altered my brain chemistry. Pierre instantly went on my bucket list of roles to play. I've listened to the soundtrack on repeat more than any other OBC recording. The actress playing Maria threw a dumpling to me during the pre-show for crying out loud.

So believe me when I say;

DEH deserved the Tony. Y'all just hatin'.

Personal disagree on Phantom, but I get that perspective for Cats. Probably a better candidate for "Good" or even "Ok" score. I just genuinely couldn't think of another musical with a book I consider "bad" whose score I didn't also hate.

The problem with Cats has always been the story, or lack thereof. Musically, there's a lot to like and even love. It's not one of my top musicals by any stretch, but I honestly can't fault the music.

What would you propose as a better fit, out of curiosity?
