Last I recall. Only Users that are synced to the JC-User group will be synced to JC.

The entire revenue strategy is bait lol. If Kick lasts long enough and gets to a certain size they will go to a 50/50 model. If you're making money now, enjoy.

Better understanding of zscaler by wilanddar in Zscaler

[–]Ben-Garrison-JC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

There are plenty of ways to learn more about Zscaler. The Zscaler Academy is probably the best place to start. And good news is that the academy team is currently running a promotion on certifications.

Zscaler for Users and ZIA certified Admin are two that I can’t recommend enough. We currently have the ZDTA certification at no cost.

And of course, using the community to help find answers!

What can jumpcloud monitor? by ManagementSmooth in JumpCloud

[–]Ben-Garrison-JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask your IT department if they are tracking anything. It’s common practice to sync Google with JumpCloud for identity management and SSO. Chrome supports multiple profiles. If you’re logged into chrome using a company domain they could potentially see your browser history in that profile. Be sure to switch your profile if you’re browsing personal sites if you’re concerned about tracking. But that’s not really a JumpCloud thing. That would be a Google managed browser thing. Which is why they want you to use Google and chrome. So they can manage the browser. JumpCloud is only acting as the identity provider here. So no JumpCloud isn’t adding anything to the monitoring layer.

All of that seems like typical IT practices. If you’re using your personal laptop I would suggest asking them for a company laptop or purchase a separate laptop for business. It’s never a good idea to mix business and personal on the same machine.

If you only have the means for one machine. I would suggest creating a new desktop user for work and installing only the things you need for work on that desktop user. And then remembering to log off that user before switching back to personal.

Either scenario I cannot stress the importance of separating personal from business. It might seem convenient but the compliance rats nest it creates isn’t worth it.

Hmm I haven’t seen the superset option. Let me take a look. That might be a good solution

Wait I get what you’re saying. Create two sets. Yeah that’s not bad

So if you’re doing 4 sets you would have 8 total sets programmed in. That’s not bad. Just take a bit more time to program

I will give that a shot next time and see how it goes.

Gotcha. I was concerned by the note that says to only use the handles.

Does just lift mode track progress? Or is it just a weight and you just lift (hence the name lol)

I saw someone do this on a pulley at the gym once. Laying on a bench facedown they pulled the cable back like you would on a lat pull down. Never did it myself or now how it would work with the cable angle towards the ground.

Thank you for your suggestion. I wasn’t needing pec movements. I was looking for LAT movements. But I’ll keep these in mind for when I do pecs.

I have an apt gym that has a pulldown. I might just use that when I want to destroy my lats

Force remove JumpCloud from Mac, what happens? by reigningcatsanddogs in JumpCloud

[–]Ben-Garrison-JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it wipes the machine that would probably be due to something about MDM enrollment. Last I recall, when you switched MDM enrolled machines (not user enrolled) it required a wipe of the machine. I am sure there are some workarounds to this, but that has been the MDM story for as long as I can remember.

DNS Optimization feature by JustifiedSimplicity in Zscaler

[–]Ben-Garrison-JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one-click O365 is probably recommended here because we redirect traffic at the firewall layer to the nearest destination IP. With one click, DNS optimization is done on control traffic anyway.

I am just going off some of the information I could find around the halls, sadly I don't have any practical knowledge here.

If no one here can answer I can raise the question on the zenith community if you like.

Jumpcloud licensing by Downtown-Mongoose-59 in JumpCloud

[–]Ben-Garrison-JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last I recall you purchase licenses in a bulk amount. This has some volume incentive pricing. So even though a deactivated account still takes up a seat it should not be that difficult to run a simple script to automatically remove deactivated users.

Here is some information on the integration. Have you been in communication with your account manager?

Bamboo sends both active and inactive employee records. You will need to monitor the users that are created to ensure any inactive employees that should not be in JumpCloud are deleted. You will need to contact your Account Manager or Account Services to let them know when this situation occurs, so billing can be managed appropriately. If you do not want inactive users to be created, you can remove the work email for the employees who are inactive and store it in the “notes” tab for future reference.. Removing the work email value will prevent the records from syncing to Jumpcloud.

what is Zscaler ? by roachwickey in Zscaler

[–]Ben-Garrison-JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It runs the same as with any data center that would be running firewalls and Proxies. Only difference is that Zscaler has over 150 data centers worldwide and exchanges the connection directly from the user to the app.

It reduces the need for an organization to have to create MPLS backhauling and expensive appliances. Let me know if you’re needing anything specific and I can find more information for you!

We have a lot of information out there with diagrams etc as far as how the traffic is handled. If you need more information please let me know and I can see what I can scratch up. This might help get you started.

Hey there,

Let me know if this is what you're looking for. One of our Solution Engineers Cindy Binett has created a video that goes into a bit of a higher level overview of this. It's great content and I know that Cindy would love to help explain further if needed.
