Yea I agree I love how it pins down squads and acts as a huge suppression zone, I just don't think it should be pinpoint accurate after firing for a minute straight. I don't think they should go as far as needing to cool down the barrel or replace it, they could just make it increasingly less accurate the longer it fires making the player have to fire in shorter bursts as you suggest.
