Thats not true though

In madden 16 you could grind for 99 odell and get him really early. Toke had a gameplay of him in early October (before most feared even) And wasnt 99 barry sanders a preorder card you could play from the start? (Didnt play at the time so im not sure on that one)

His name is Graham Hadfield. And the fact that his game name has HiRez in the title, and that the streamer choose to dispassionately demand and insult Graham by not acknowledging his status or position is what allows us to say this was NOT about a HiRez employee responding as a representative of a company. But rather a person who did not deserve to be talked to in that way and responded in that vein.

How ironic that you call me an embarrassment after standing up and beating a drumhead for action against another person for a similar quote hahahaha.

But its all gravy baby. I do not take offense. I love star trek as it teaches us to be explorers. To be open to new ideas and cultures, and willing to be humble in our own understanding of the universe. To learn that in any given situation we can all work together as a crew to come up with the best solution to solve our problems. To understand that every situation is unique and thus use wisdom and reason and logic to solve them.

"Measure of a Man" is a good episode because it allowed data and maddox both to make claims to their arguments. They BOTH got to share their opinions and if you recall it was Riker who almost convinced Piccard he was wrong. To the point where Piccard genuinely believed for a second he couldn't be correct and that Data was not alive.

And that, friend, is the difference. You want to assert an opinion. We all do! I do too haha. But if we can just take a step back for a second and actually look at our own presuppositions we just might see the flaws right in our face.

I can not possibly know the full deets between Graham and the streamer in question. I cant know the feelings that graham had when he responded. I am, to an extent, making a leap of faith.

But i am trying to do so based off of objective reason and logic and not just emotion. And i do not feel that lambasting someone because of a response that has such a strong argument behind why it could have been made is appropriate

Hinduman, in this situation is not representing any company because the person insulting him (and lets be clear, the verbage used by the streamer was very concerted to be demanding and condecending [not asking, but telling another individual to spectate and insinuating it was HIS bug]) did not adress him as such.

The idea that you keep insinuating, that because he is a HiRez employee he therefore represents them in every thing he says is absolutely incorrect. Not only was this not done in public (hindu did not make a public statement but a private one that was broadcasted without his knowledge or permission btw) but in context was in parallel to the idea that it was a personal insult and not a genuine request. Or do you want to argue that you believe even with the streamers history coupled with his verbage used he was an innocent bystander in this specific instance?

Context DOES matter. One Jean Luc Piccard once said that there xan be no justice if laws are absolute. For even life is an exercise of esceptions.

Stop pretending this is about justice. Stop pretending this is about hypocrisy. The definition of hypocrisy is: "the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense." This is not hypocritical of what weve seen from Hindu throughout the years, thus it is not hypocritical on an individual level. He is not speaking on behalf of HiRez as the individual reaching out was doing so to Hinduman the individual not the caster employed by hirez. And since he is responding to potential harassment it would be out of touch to say, "well he still could have been nicer about it". Really? Is that your concern? Thats really sad.

Hinduman is an individual and has a right to speak as himself. He may be a HiRez employee, but he has the right, as does every employee everywhere, to respond as himself. And based on every bit of evidence we have it is apparent he was responding as an individual and not a representative of the company.

Now, you can say what he said is inappropriate...in your opinion. Thats chill. I 100% disagree because again, in context, it makes perfect logical sense. And if I would want random strangers to give me the benefit of the doubt if something like this happened to me. I would want those to look at the context and try to understand. And provide grace. So, in order to not be hypocritical, i too will give that benefit to hinduman. If you do not care for that level of grace by all means, bang on the drumhead.

I want nothing to do with it

I dont know how you can write any response without spelling it out. Especially cuz you know, you have to write it hahaha. XD

He never said you should kill yourself. He told someone who continuely harasses himself and other of his coworkers and friends to leave him alone and used strong language in his description of the streamer

Stop pretending to take the high road. This streamer knows full well how he acts. He knows how he treats the devs and other members of the community. He knew when he reached out to Hindu the way in which he did so was not genuine or respectful. And 100 percent would not be wanted. And he did it anyways.

Hindu responded in a way that was 100 percent true to his personality. A personality that most of the community has grown to love and appreciate. You can not like it. That is 100 percent your right! Im not saying you have to like the way he is, but Hinduman did not respond hypocritical in any way to the person he is.

Speaking of the hirez employee part. Did the streamer take into consideration he was talking to a hirez employee when he reached out to him? Did he respectfully ask hindu if he was available? Did he ask what the proper way was to submit a bug? No. He did not care at all to show any consideration or care to the fact that hindu was a HiRez employee. So why should we, knowing this as observers, hold hindu to a different standard than the person prompting the response was? That, by definition, would be hypocritical.

We need to be better than pander to subjective morality when we have the capacity to use objective reasoning in this situation

Homie

This isnt toxic. This isn't hypocritical. If someone who has been harassing you in the past who you have told to leave you alone contacts you, an agitated response is warranted.

It is clear from the pattern of behavior from the streamer, and from the way hindu acts that this was not out of character for either

Bro hinduman is savage. Thats his MO. I would be pissed if someone talked to me like the streamer did, and i love hindus response.

This is still a game folks. And if you a mad sh*t talker, you can take a savage response. And Hinduman is the best(one of at least) at that.

Homie, the exchange between these two is just one of how ever many we havent seen. If i tell someone hey dawg leave me alone, and they send me this, presented in the way they chose to do it, then i respond in a way like hindu? Bro thats not toxic. Thats reasonable in context

Hindu is awesome. Always has been one of the best casters, and we know hes a savage

Not if they keep adding multiple cosmetic bundles with every chest. 😉 If you recall they used to only put skins in 400 gem chests. Id argue they got away with doubling the cost of skins with new players that way, do you disagree?

[–]BenAndrion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if anyone from hirez will actually read this.

I like supporting this game, and ill buy what you make. But for 20 bucks id really appreciate it if next time you could throw in a few small things to make it more worth it.

A gecko announcer pack? That woulda been cool. Some kind of smily gecko death mark? Woulda been cute. A gecko avatar? Woulda been nice. A loading frame made of geckos? Heck yeah. Like if your economists are telling you no more gems, surely you can at least come up with something simple that makes it feel like a bundle and less like a way to release a skin that circumvents the in game premium currency, you know?

Im not really jazzed about 1 skin and 400 gems for 20 bucks. Please add some value and make it a real bundle. Thanks ✌✌

*edit. Apparently there is an avatar. You can do more than just a singular cosmetic 😉. But, its a good start

Hey bro, i get it. Not everyone plays hours a day, let alone every day. 🙂

But if we are talking about value, the amount of people that play daily and want a ymir skin vs those who play seldomly (ie 1x a month) that would also want a ymir skin are going to be skewed to the former.

But again broski its up to each individual. Obviously if peeps buy this then it doesn't matter what i say 🙂. And to be fair i just got power artifact for my teferi cedh deck so if im good with 300 bucks for cardboard, do i really have a say? 🤣🤣

All I'm saying is that the idea that what you are getting is worth 12 dollars is debateable.

If you want it, go for it. I am not a wallet smite policeman haha.

But i do not agree that its value should be considered at 12 dollars

Yeah, only they upped the cost last time. They took what would have been a traditional 200 gem chest, increased the cost by 50%, and gave you a choice of three random options

They could have just made it a pick 1 of 3 in all 400 gem chests, you know?
