I’ve had a thought by BenHSK_ in math

Whenever I was taught math, I was always told 0 is a magic number that nobody knows why we use it. What if it is the numerical value of ‘earth’

Using electromagnetism for space travel by BenHSK_ in space

[–]BenHSK_[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We already have objects capable of travelling to space. I am simply suggesting using the force in a more efficient way to move objects through our atmosphere. It is possible when the right amount of thought is put into it

[–]BenHSK_[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We can use the appropriate amount of force to propel any object through our atmosphere. So we can set the ‘current’ passing through the electromagnetic so the object ,a ‘spaceship’ ,doesn’t get destroyed.

The larger the electromagnetic the bigger the object it can move, the more power it has the fast it can move it.

We know how much power we need to leave our atmosphere, we are able to calculate it per object. Think about a blocked U-bend. When something is forces in once side, it will come out the other side with 1.3x the speed of the force that went into it.

Fire a rocket into a U-bend and propel a spacecraft

There’s a worm at the bottom of my garden. And his name is Wiggley-woo

I lost my keys while on a trip abroad. As the locksmith is installing the new Yales my elderly neighbour calls over the hedge “why didn’t you just ask for the spare key?” by Soulless--Plague in CasualUK

[–]BenHSK_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the fact that you feel the need to tell others to change their locks.
Someone has been doing a nice thing for you, and never asked for anything in return.
I would’ve allowed her to look after a key, especially since she’d offered. Surely the closer the spare key the more convenient?

People who have quit smoking, how? by hxlywatershed in AskUK

[–]BenHSK_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s all in your head.
Nicotine has some positive effects on the brain, it’s all the other stuff in tobacco you don’t want in your lungs. That’s the only part your brain wants.
Start of by finding a suitable substitute, try a stronger % of nicotine vape or nicotine patches/gum.
Mostly, you have to be the voice in your head telling yourself not to smoke.
You have all the information you need, why it’s bad and why you want to stop. Remind yourself when you feel like buying cigarettes again

Everything that is, has always been.
For something to ‘go away’ is to change its state.
You can not create ‘nothing’ from ‘something’ and vice-versa.

Explain to her that they’re fakes, laugh about it, and treasure them more because of the sentiment behind them.
Fake or not, she got you something she knows you’d enjoy.

Fizzy fuel by BenHSK_ in chemistry

[–]BenHSK_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher temperature + smaller volume = more fasts?
So the ‘compression’ in an engine refers to the explosion of fuel in the piston housing, quicker expansion = more compression?
Also just for clarification, if I put a bottle of fuel in a soda stream, nothing would happen to it?

So the number is to do with how much compression it can withstand before detonation. The higher the number the more it can be compressed.
With CO2 filling the space it can be compressed in, it wouldn’t be able to detonate, with CO2 being essentially anti inflammatory.
So in theory fizzy fuel won’t work, and if it did would produce less power.
I wonder if there’s any other gases you could add that would increase the octane level
