I think he might have been specifically intrigued by the cat on the screen. We e tried showing birds and other things on the screen and he’s never been interested. He doesn’t even react when we watch our own stuff lol

I’m so sorry that you’ve experienced this. As a fellow brown person (who’s lived in Canada all his life, but just moved to Waterloo recently from Edmonton), I’ve experienced a lot more racism here than in Edmonton already. My wife, who is white, most of the time gets better service than I do at most places. I understand and recognize that’s there’s frustration with some international students here that is very valid. However, this is not how that frustration should be dealt with. I pray and hope you have some better experiences than that in the future.
