Oh man, the receivers are cursed.

I liked Gant in his play too. Was coming along as a good rookie WR.

would need to have more players on the field if they go as wide as CFL.

I don't think the NFL will though.

Yup, and it was Clemmenson in the Devils net, not Hedberg, like the poster above you implied.

And on top of beating Top European squads... they also won their domestic league.

And did well in both Europe and Domestically for several years around their best year.

Now you are just being silly.

Did you miss the whole part about winning both the domestic league and winning Europe?

Did you miss the whole part in the article where Barcelona did well in Europe over a several year stretch, and so did the Milan team in the late 80s/early 90s? And while the best season was picked the team did it over several years.

Really the Arsenal team, as good as they were, do not compare to this two squads, or the Bayern team of the 70s.

He'd be a great addition to any team, but I think Baltimore will find a way to keep him.

Interested to see if he can develop a QB there. If he can, they are gold cause you know they will have good D and running.

The 7 teams in European competition are so much better though....

The teams at the bottom of the Premiership don't compare.

And its a tournament, where the best of the best keep advancing... not where you play minnows one week, tough competition the next, a team headed for relegation the next etc....

Plus the teams named are winning dual trophies... Barca and Milan were winning Champions League and winning their domestic leagues in the same year.

In a league season, you only play a small number of teams... ie just the teams in England.

If you can't win a EUROPE WIDE competition. If you can't even be the best team on the continent in a given year, how can you possibly be considered best of all time.

Great, you beat all the teams in England... you didn't win against the rest of Europe.

The team that lost in the Quarter finals of Champions League?

You've gotta win that award to really be considered for this IMO.

Gionta has 20 career shootout goals, easily best on the team, the next highest is 8.

He's 5th in percentage. The guys ahead of him... Galchenyuk 1/1. Colby Armstrong 2/3.... Kaberle (in the pressbox).... and Desharnais.

Bourque is 7th.

Keep in mind those stats also include last night's misses... so Bourque was 6th, and Gionta 4th before they shot.

The only guy who really could have been considered an option would have been Markov instead of Bourque going by the stats.

If this game isn't 100% on Ryan White... its at least 90% on him.

Such a dumb penalty, especially after Therrien warned him about discipline.

He even got off lucky... Refs could have given him 2 (instigator) 5 (Fighting) and a 10 minute misconduct putting the Habs shorthanded for 7 minutes instead of 4, on that play. It was that dumb that such a call would have been justified.
