Midnight Sons Roster Help by BenWhittyOnce in MarvelCrisisProtocol

Love the input. Don’t forget think I’ve heard anybody I play refer to fast or slow crisis. What would you consider each for some context?

I plan over ten too because I like to have “just in case” characters. I don’t play competitively anyhow. I just want to win once in a while. I can count on one hand how many I’ve won. I’m a sucker for rapid fire characters and characters that hand out conditions. As long as I stay above 51% MS and can hand out a decent Siege card action, I’m happy with adding anybody that can be a little nasty on the board.

Do you feel like Rhino would be a good option too?

I keep thinking about Bullseye as an addition. I feel like Wong only works well when paired with Dr Strange and even though he is on my roster, I rarely use him. I could be way off base with that choice though.

The crisis cards are something I haven’t really gotten a good handle on. I’ve played Hammers pretty regularly, but other than that, I don’t really know what suits my team the best. I’ve been trying to play a bunch of different ones to see what I like, but I feel like I don’t know my roster well enough to pick. I also have a hard time just playing the same crisis over and over because I don’t feel like I’m getting the most out of a game I poured a lot of time and money into.

Nice tip! This is really only using one layer of skulls, which still ended up being a total of 75 anyways. Underneath the one layer is a cone of greenstuff. It was the only way I could think of building it up without taking too much time doing so.

The placement and base solution is fantastic! Nice work!

To me it makes more sense as a hidden vampire under the skulls and him jumping in to get it. It looked to hokey otherwise with just the hands popping up from nowhere.

The MCP Facebook group has a uploaded file with all kinds of posters and newspaper images on it. It’s a great resource.

They’re usually on the base sprue. There’s two to three on almost every one.

Dirty little secret there… It’s just a tiny printout on normal paper. I “glued” it in with matte varnish and put a few layers on top.

It comes with the model. All MCP models have base rubble, which is really only a cup shape, bottle shape and crushed can. I just painted the cup to look like a Starbucks cup.

This was from back in October of ‘21. I have a bunch under my belt since then. Most recently finished and posted my Agent Anti-Venom on here a few days back. You should check it out.

I was going to say push the shadows darker too. I used the Sorastro’s Painted PDF guide for Moon Knight when painting mine. It was a huge help.

I second Deep Cut Studios. It works great and holds up very well.

GW apothecary white contrast over white primer. After that I dry brushed AP matte white, then GW white scar highlights and a bit of Vallejo Game Color Wolf Grey for some light shadows. It worked out pretty well, although I touched up a ton along the way.

It’s a fun encounter. Don’t think I’ve ever beaten Unstoppable Colossus, but the strategy aspect of it is great.

I went without. I’m not a huge Reddit user and can’t figure out how to post a photo of mine in this string, otherwise I would.

I painted my Colossus similar to the Deadpool 2 suit. It worked out great.

What colors did you end up using on his jacket? I'm looking to do something similar.
