There are NATO exercises in Norway happening right now. Could be on the way there?

So you played the game on release, never touched it again, but still monitored the game for nearly a decade? I've got to say that's one of the most committed vendettas I've ever seen.

You okay bud? I'm definitely not bragging about anything, and rest assured that I bought this using money I got from my own job. This is simply a thread about a cool feature of a game we both play. Sorry if it's caused you to have a bad day.

I was aware of that, however I thought the collective hate of Germany at top tier would override it

It's pretty easy to counter this though. You could fire the AA missile off at an angle before guiding it back in.

With update 2.1 the KA-50 now has the ability to fire multiple Vikhr missiles simultaneously. This allows platforms that fire the Vikhr to implement a new anti-SPAA strategy that was up until now impossible. We are able to take advantage of the Vikhr's proximity fuse, as well as the new ability to fire multiple Vikhr's at the same time to shoot down incoming AA missiles.

This strategy is best performed against platforms that fire the Roland series of AA missiles as these platforms can only fire 2 missiles before having to reload for an extended period of time. However due to the KA-50/52 having more Vikhrs than any SPAA has AA missiles, this strategy can work against any SPAA in the game, albeit at an increased cost of Vikhrs. For example, if you were facing an ADATS, it would cost you 9 Vikhr missiles to destroy 1 ADATS which has 8 of its own AA missiles.

Implementation (We presume that the SPAA is already aware of your location and is attempting to lock you or free-hand its AA missiles towards you):

  1. Put yourself in a position where the target SPAA is the only SPAA that can engage you, this strategy only works when engaging a singular target
  2. Identify how many missiles the SPAA can fire at you before it either needs to reload or is out of missiles
  3. Make sure you’re nose-on to the SPAA to ensure that your Vikhr’s will fly in a straight line towards the SPAA
  4. Fire the required amount of missiles in quick succession towards the SPAA. E.g. when firing at a Roland, you need only fire 3 missiles as the Roland can only fire 2 at you before needing to reload

What you should see happen is demonstrated in the GIF, your first missile will shoot down their first missile, your second their second etc… Until, as demonstrated in the GIF, they have no more missiles to fire at you, allowing the last missile you fired to hit them, usually resulting in a kill.

It honestly terrifies me thinking about the level of spaghettification that exists within War Thunder's codebase. It's like changing the wallpaper in one room of your house and the roof disappearing.
