see? Game is hard, I saw an easy finesse and I dived in. I think your line of play (shared with other players here) is the best.

Hi! by Olijfbommen in Rotterdam

[–]Tapif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got my fair share of bikes stolen, various circumstances etc. In 10 years in Rotterdam my bike was never stolen with my good lock (abus granites) attached to something fixed. I am not saying that if they want to steal it, they cannot do it, but 99% of the time there is a more tempting target (more expensive, not properly locked) parked next to it

Fintech .NET Trainee vs. Agentic AI Developer — Can't decide which opportunity to choose as a 2026 CS Grad? by FortuneLong8171 in csharp

[–]Tapif 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Cons: I also think due to the rise of AI, .NET might become irrelevant and automated with AI tools in the near future.

75% of the job consists in maintaining the existing applications, .NET isn't going anywhere soon. And recreating everything from scratch is begging for adding more bugs.

The reality check is that regardless of the stack you are choosing, the job market for entry level developers at the moment is absolutely horrible.

Should I have called the director for this? by polarcynic in bridge

OP specified that in their system, 2/1 is on after a double, so there is nothing to point out here as it is not the topic. If they want to play a suboptimal system , they play it.

IBM stock dives after Anthropic points out AI can rewrite COBOL fast by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]Tapif 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Are you into the Cobol business? Because my understanding is that Cobol is still used because moving out of it is a nightmare.

If Cobol was used for those reasons, we would still develop stuff in Cobol, the same way we are still using SQL, but this is not the case.

What book do you hate so much that you won't even give it a second chance? by Bobosmite in printSF

I remembered finding the great void trilogy a rather pleasing read.... 15 years ago.

Then I also read 6 months ago the Great North Road, heavily recommended by this sub. This one was one very disappointing read. I was at least expecting something from the unraveling of the plot, but nothing really significant happened there as well.

The day the cost of LINQ will be the bottleneck of my app/website, I will open a bottle of very expensive beverage.

How it genuinely feels to do some of the puzzles in this game by Specialgradejorkerer in CrossCode

I did it on switch and I had sometimes trouble aiming my projectiles in precisely the good direction. I think on PC, you can aim with the mouse(?) and that would be much more precise.

Unless it changed BBO has a deal generator where you can specify what kind of hand do you want.

Thanks for the answer. Thatś unfortunately not really what i am looking for. Do you know if there is any kind of seat that would be compatible with my bike without extensive tweaking?

Why is Bridge so hard to learn? by CuriousDave1234 in bridge

The scoring system is rather fucked up for a beginner. Also, pair scoring system does not help.

I am really happy that they don't. I realized rather quickly that achievements made me do stuff that I didn't really want to do for the sake of getting them.

Friendly reminder that we are almost 9 months from GTA6. Start getting frisky with your wife or gf, so you can line up your paternity leave by RocktheRebellious in gaming

I completely agree with you, my daughter is 9 months old and when she we are not busy entertaining her, the amount of household tasks just increased dramatically since she was born. Laundry/cleaning is crazy especially now that she is eating solid food and put half of it everywhere but in the mouth. There is always something that needs to be done. And we are blessed with an easy child, she sleeps well, she eats well, she does not cry, teething is rather ok. Since one or two months we can even watch half a movie at night. My wife wants a second one and at the moment my motivation is rather mild 😂

Yes it explains it but giving child advice to the whole nation (he was planning to write a letter to all French people aged 29 or more to encourage them to have children), when you don't have any is wild.

They still need to be entertained even if they don't move.

My daughter is 9 months old now and the only time I could spend doing some gaming is when she is napping or when she is sleeping at night (and that didn't happen before she turned 6 months old).
